Sugar Candi

It's another really quick post from me tonight and at the risk of sounding like a broken record...it's been another busy day but yay...I've met all my deadlines. My Clarity samples are all finished, ready to be packed up and sent off tomorrow, my magazine projects are done, dusted and the instructions are all written and all but one of my DT projects are up to date!! I think I might celebrate with a glass of vino tonight..because I'm worth it!! LOL...

If you were watching QVC earlier today, you might have seen Kirsty Wiseman showing some of my samples that I made before Christmas, using a couple of fab punches from EK Success. I still get such a buzz from seeing all my cards on TV and I thought you might like to see a couple of screenshots of the just two of the cards I made, and as always I'll show all of them here on my blog, with lots of close up photos of all the details.
But before I get around to cropping all the pics and loading them on, here are a few more of the samples that I made for the Craftwork Cards shows that were on QVC a couple of weeks ago! I hope you like them...

Some samples using the gorgeous Confetti kit, combined with the Easel cards. All the items that I used on these cards are available from QVC or Craftwork Cards themselves.

This card was made using the die cuts and papers from the Sweet Meadow kit.
Right, time for me to try and catch up on the huge amount of emails, messages and last but not least, all your blog posts. So, fingers crossed I should be around later tonight, or if I collapse before, tomorrow morning! hee hee...

See you soon and bye for now!

Colours of the Rainbow

Just a quick post from me today because I wanted to let you all know that there is a fab Today's Special Value, over on QVC today ~ 100 sheets of Bazzill Basics 12" x 12" Cardstock ~ but you'll have to be quick, as it's selling fast.

There is so much that you will NEED this card for and here are some of my projects that I made using this quality cardstock.
A couple of scrapbooking pages, made from a background of the cardstock, which you can use with your dies and punches.

A little mini book of "Creative Thoughts", made up with the cardstock and papers. I then stamped some of my favourite Tim Holtz quotes and added some embellishments.

A few cards using the cardstock, together with some gorgeous Prima stamps. I used the cardstock as a base card blank, and also for matting and layering.

So, that's about it from me for today and I really hope you like the projects I've made. I'm off to watch, and spot some more of my card projects throughout the day.
Hope you all have a fabulous Wednesday!!
Bye for now.

"Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world." — Marilyn Monroe

To do list: ✓✓✓
Still to do list: ☐ ☐ ☐ ☐ ☐ ☐
lol ~ Evening everyone and yup, the life of Emma is still a busy one and at the moment, I think I'm crafting for England and there's only two things in life that can help me through the workload...coffee and chocolate and in large amounts!! By the time I've finished, I think I'll resemble the size of a house.

But I've making lots of lovely things and working with lots of gorgeous goodies and I can't wait to show them all to you!

But here's one I made earlier and I hope you like it...
The stamp is from the Personal Impressions range of Travilla's fashion designs for Marilyn Monroe and I really wanted to try to capture the feel of the house of Travilla, using images from Tim Holtz's Haberdashery set, vintage ribbon, pins and the lovely papers from K & Company.
I stamped the Marilyn image in Stazon and watercoloured it with Kuretake's Art and Graphic Twin pens.
Well, it's time for me to go and collapse on the sofa and start chanting again...keep calm and carry on, keep calm and carry on...you won't believe how many times I say this to myself in a day!! :)
See you soon...

Garden of Flowers

Wow, how did it get to Thursday already? Time really does fly when you're crafting your lil socks off and this week, I have crafted for England!! lol

But all this crafting does mean one thing...I will have so much to share with all my lovely blogging buddies and I can't wait to show you everything I've made! But in the meantime, here are my penultimate share of cards from the Clarity shows and I really hope that you've enjoyed all the cards, so far. I can't thank you all enough for every single one of the comments that you've left me...I know I say this a lot but I'm so thankful to have such wonderful friends and followers!

This first card is all about flowers and the main feature was Clarity's frame corner stamps and I used it in conjunction with one of those fabulous Alium stamps.
I embossed the background, using a Cuttlebug embossing folder and then added a handmade paper rose...I did say, it was all about the flowers! :)

For this second card, I wanted to try and capture the essence of one of the most beautiful and elegant periods in time...Art Nouveau and I was particularly influenced by the work of Alphonse Mucha. I really hope that I did his work and Barbara's stamps justice...

Sorry, if some of the photos are a little dark but when I took them, it was a dull, dark rainy day!

Well, I'm off to grab a coffee and then see what I can tick off my "to-do" list...I really think it seems to be getting longer instead of shorter! Either that or it's me getting slower...

I'll see you all tomorrow with the final card and I think I might have saved the best for last!! :)

P.S. I promised to let you know the times of Kuretake's shows on Create & Craft tomorrow and they will be on at 2:00 and 4:00. Hope you'll be able to watch but if you can't, don't worry I'll definitely be sharing all my samples next week.

Burlesque

I know that I say this a LOT but this week has absolutely flown by, hasn't it? I think it's gone quicker than any other week, yet and what a week it's been! The weather was absolutely horrendous here in NW London yesterday...rain, thunder, lightning and MORE rain and even though the garden needed the water, my little strawberry plants took a right old battering and don't even mention the herbs which have been badly bruised and battered by the heavy rain. I think this is a case for Richard Jackson's Flower Power, I hope that will give them the boost they need...

Anyway, enough about my days acting out "The Good Life"...and back to the cards. I hope you like today's share, which was a special card that I made for a friend's birthday.
This is an stamp from Kanban and I have used it in a previous card but I just love her so much and couldn't resist bringing it out again because I thought it would be perfect for my friend.
The image itself is handpainted with a combination of Kuretake's Art & Graphic Pens and Perfect Pearls, mixed with a little water. I added glitter highlights to the feathers on the dress, to give it that va va voom. And finally, to go with this glamorous lady, I made a selection of paper flowers, using Paperartsy's grunge flower die and the Retro Flower punch from EK Success and added them all down the side of the card.

Well, I'd better be going...there is a cup of coffee to drink and lots of crafting to be done.
Hope you all enjoy your long weekend. Have you got anything exciting planned?
See you all next week!

Flying High

Happy Thursday and just a quickie post from me today! I'm running around doing a 1000 things at once and at the end of the day, probably achieving an absolute, big fat ZERO!!! lol

But Take That is playing on the stereo at the moment, Michael Buble is cued and the sun is shining so, all is good in the world of Emma!!

In the meantime, I thought you might like to see what I made, yesterday...I think some of you might have seen the work in progress on my WOYWW post but here is the finished piece. Hope you like it...
I made the frame card myself, with lots of measuring, scoring and folding but it's all worth it for the finished piece. lol Then using lots of Tim's products...Distress Stains, embossing folders, Tissue Tape, dies and stamps, I created this card. The flowers are made using an EK Success Retro Flower punch, coloured with Distress Ink and then spritzed with Perfect Pearls and they just turned out the perfect shade of Tiffany turquoise. I couldn't have asked for a better colour as the finishing touch to my project.

Hope you all have a wonderful day and that the sun is shining where you are.
See you soon

Flowers and Butterflies

Friday's here already and the week has flown by, once again!! I hope you all had a wonderful week and even though I've not been feeling too well lately, it hasn't stopped me playing with all the fabulous pens and goodies that the lovely people at Kuretake have sent me.

This card is one that I made to show how you can use Kuretake's Art and Graphic Pens to colour directly to your chosen stamp (I used a set of acrylic stamps designed by Paula Pascual) and then stamping it directly to paper. I then took a waterbrush and just gently dragged the colour from the outline to fill the petals of the flowers with colour.

I hope you like it...

Well, I'd better get back to my desk and carry on crafting! I've got a million and one projects that need to be finished and a mind that keeps drifting off into a world of it's own, which isn't the best combination for a busy crafter with deadlines to meet, but I'll get there.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!
