Spring Fling

Isn't British weather just the strangest thing ever?? Two weeks ago we were digging ourselves out of our houses and absolutely freezing cold. Today, Spring has sprung, the sun is shining, we've got drought warnings and our overcoats have been thrown off!! I suppose, it won't be long before the downpours start and we'll have floods. It's very strange indeed.

It's definitely been one of those days, today...I've been suffering from a migraine for most of it but it's calmed down enough for me to pop by to say hello and share my final makes for CHA and Craftwork Cards. I hope you like them...

I made the shadow box from card and used the Candi to highlight the sides of the cards and the flower centres.

On this frame card, I used the Candi to accent the window and papers from the Confetti range. The dress form is from Basically Bare, which can be bought direct from the Kuretake Online Shop. The flower is handmade from some more of the Confetti papers.

Tonight, I'm going to take it easy, have a cup of tea and treat myself to a few more choccies from my Hotel Chocolat stash.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look at what I've made and I'll be around to see all your creations, asap!!
Bye for now and see you soon.

Sugar Candi

It's another really quick post from me tonight and at the risk of sounding like a broken record...it's been another busy day but yay...I've met all my deadlines. My Clarity samples are all finished, ready to be packed up and sent off tomorrow, my magazine projects are done, dusted and the instructions are all written and all but one of my DT projects are up to date!! I think I might celebrate with a glass of vino tonight..because I'm worth it!! LOL...

If you were watching QVC earlier today, you might have seen Kirsty Wiseman showing some of my samples that I made before Christmas, using a couple of fab punches from EK Success. I still get such a buzz from seeing all my cards on TV and I thought you might like to see a couple of screenshots of the just two of the cards I made, and as always I'll show all of them here on my blog, with lots of close up photos of all the details.
But before I get around to cropping all the pics and loading them on, here are a few more of the samples that I made for the Craftwork Cards shows that were on QVC a couple of weeks ago! I hope you like them...

Some samples using the gorgeous Confetti kit, combined with the Easel cards. All the items that I used on these cards are available from QVC or Craftwork Cards themselves.

This card was made using the die cuts and papers from the Sweet Meadow kit.
Right, time for me to try and catch up on the huge amount of emails, messages and last but not least, all your blog posts. So, fingers crossed I should be around later tonight, or if I collapse before, tomorrow morning! hee hee...

See you soon and bye for now!

Bouquet of Flowers

Happy Weekend and hello, to all my lovely followers.

Sorry, if I went M.I.A. this week...it's been an eventful week, to say the least. The life of Emma is never a dull one...in fact, if Hollywood came knocking at my door, I think they'd have a major blockbuster on their hands!!

Anyway, where was I when I was so rudely interrupted by my body which refuses to behave, at the moment? I'm sure some of you have been catching up with all the Design Team's CHA projects, over on the Craftwork Cards blog. It's been so lovely to see what the DT made and I really hope that you're enjoying my shares, too! And here's today's project ~ I hope you like it!
The box was a cheap papier-mâché box from Hobbycraft, which I covered with some gorgeous papers from the Craftwork Cards, Confetti collection. The flowers are made using a combination of Spellbinders dies ~ the Blossom Three die and the Rose Creations die. I added some die cut leaves and foliage, built up my Spellbinders Nesties shapes and added the Candi. Oh, how it broke my heart to let this little beauty go... :"( ~lol!!

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday and I'll try and pop on tomorrow with some more Craftwork Cards, shares. Thank you for all your well wishes and hugs on my last post ~ you really are the best!! And Katina, thank you for your comment, hehe...I've made a note and when Tim comes knocking at my door to travel the crafty world with him and his team, you can definitely be my PA!! :D

I'll be round to catch up on all the latest news in blogland, asap and comment on what you've all been up to!
See you soon!

Confetti

Hello everyone and a big hello to my new followers!! It was a pleasure to visit your wonderful blogs and I'm really looking forward to your comments and seeing more of your work!!

So, I hope you all had a fab Easter! I had a really quiet, relaxing long weekend...just what I needed but look what the Easter Bunny left for me? Yes, I am an addict...I'm a chocoholic and proud of it!!
So, today is the start of a new week of craft...my samples for this Sunday's Clarity show are winging their way to Barbara and I can't wait for you to see them. *fingers crossed* No-one leans on them this time and the presenter decides to show them!! lol

I'm also currently creating the next set of cards for the August issue of Making Cards Magazine...it's busy, busy, busy!! In the meantime, if you didn't manage to see the April issue of the magazine, here are the cards that I made using Craftwork Cards' gorgeous, Confetti collection of papers.

The quality of Craftwork Cards products and papers are ideal to make my handmade flowers with. The paper doesn't rip or tear and the pearlescent sheen gives such a beautiful look to your projects.

Well, I'm off to indulge in some more Easter eggs, at this rate...I'll need to invest in some Zumba classes to work off the excess weight gain!
Hope you all have a fabulous week and I'll see you soon!!
