Cottage Garden Pop Up Box

Hi everyone...

Thank you for all your lovely comments on my Simon Says Stamp post on Monday and also the comments I've received about my samples that I created for the Craftwork Cards shows on Ideal World and Create and Craft...it always means so much to read them and they always make me smile wide!

For those Craftwork Cards fans out there, (and I know there are a lot) I'm sure you all enjoyed the shows and I KNOW some of you were tempted to put some of those gorgeous new collections into your baskets...weren't they gorgeous and didn't Julie do an amazing job on Tuesday night and throughout the day yesterday?

Now if you do have any of the collections winging their way to you and if you need a little bit of inspiration, then I thought it would be nice to share some of the samples I made for the shows so that you can see them all in close up and see all the details. So today, I'm starting with my Cottage Garden pop up box, using the gorgeous papers from this collection and as always, I hope you like what I've made...
This is the larger of the two boxes that you get in the pack and is such a lovely size to work with and when it all folds flat, it fits into an envelope.
The flowers are all die cut from the Cottage Garden paper pad, using a Sizzix die and the foliage is die cut from the Tim Holtz Garden Greenery die and then painted with Distress Paints.
The flowers and leaves are all attached to the little tabs that you add inside the box and each flower has a Candi centre.
 Close up of the flowers
So, that's it from me for today and I hope you have as much fun with your paper collections and goodies when they arrive as I did. Have a wonderful day!!
See you soon and bye for now...love Emma xxx

12 Tags of 2013 ~ November

Good morning friends...

Hope you're all having a fabulous week so far and you're enjoying this gorgeous sunshine that we have at the moment.

I'm sure all of you know how much fun I've had joining in with Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of 2013 and every month, I've loved all the inspiration that Tim has given and this month is no exception. I loved Tim's chalkboard technique on Creative Chemistry 102 and I've got some of that gorgeous embossing powder on my ever growing list of "must haves" but until I get some of that precious powder, I had to think of a way around it and still get the overall chalkboard effect and, I did!! A Versamark ink pad, Perfect Pearls and chalk and ta~dah...here is my entry for the November 12 Tag of 2013 and as always, there's lots of photos to see all the detail and I hope you love my tag!
I didn't have any black tags so die cut my own using Tim's Tag die from Sizzix. The "A Joyful Christmas" stamp that I used is from the Joyful Song stamp set. I created the poinsettias, using Tim's Tattered Poinsettia die from Sizzix and added some holly leaves from the Holly and Branch die. All the die cuts are coloured with Distress Inks and given a spritzing of Perfect Pearls Biscotti Mist. I added some Craftwork Cards Candi to the centres and some rusty wire coils to complete the card.

To complete the tag, I added some cream seam binding and attached some pearls using an Idea-ology pin.

So, that's it from me for today and if you haven't tried out Tim's chalkboard technique, then you must...it is fabulous and creates such a cool effect!!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I'll see you soon with another share.
Bye for  now...love Emma xxx

p.s. Don't forget that the lovely and very talented Julie Hickey is on Ideal World and Create and Craft throughout today with the fabulous Craftwork Cards Pick Of The Day...it's definitely not to be missed!!!!

With A Song In My Heart...

Hello friends!!

Hope you've all had a wonderful week. I can't quite believe it's Friday already and I seem to have got to the end of the week with as much on my "to do" list as I had at the start of the week!! I blame Mr Mojo who's on a go slow at the moment and doesn't seem to want to play nicely with me!! Anyway, all I can hope for is that he'll come back for the weekend...I NEED him!!

In the meantime, here's another couple of cards that you might have spotted on Create and Craft last weekend, as they were both featured quite a bit in Barbara Gray's Clarity shows. As always, I hope you love what I created using the stamps sets...
Both cards feature what Barbara now calls my "signature" skies but I thought I would go with a two very different skies that would reflect the scene on each of these cards.

I created both backgrounds using Distress Inks and stamped the images with Archival Inks.
The second card is all about the bleak midwinter and I hope I captured that with my scene...

So, I really hope I've inspired you with both of these, very different scenes that I created for my cards. Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting today and thank you for all the lovely comments you always leave me, here...on Facebook and on Twitter!!

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend and the sun shines for you...
See you again soon but bye for now,

Colour Pops

Hello everyone...and happy Friday!

Hope you've all had a fabulous week and you're surviving the heatwave! Today, I wanted to share something that I was asked to create for Craftwork Cards the other week, to showcase their new Colour Pops range of Candi that were launched at CHA this week. You can read more about the latest varieties and all the yummy colours, here!!

As always, there's lots of pics to show all the detail and I really hope you like it!
I decided to make a wallhanging for the first piece and I think this would be perfect for a wedding gift and those colours of Candi are just delicious!!
As you can see I've used the Candi to make centres of my flowers and to add decoration around the cluster of blooms.

So, that's it from me for today...I hope you all have a fabulous weekend and stay cool!
See you all again next week and bye for now!

Music Notes...

Hello friends...

Well, this week has flown by!!! I only blinked and whoosh...it's already Friday!! Well, at least that means one good thing...it's the weekend tomorrow and I hope you all have a fabulous one!!

Before I share today's post I just wanted to say a big HELLO to all my new followers that have joined me this week!! Remember, now that Google Reader is no longer with us, there are plenty of ways to follow my blog and you can find all the links in my sidebar on the left!! :) I also wanted to say thank you to everyone who commented on my previous post, you all make me smile with all your lovely comments and I do appreciate every single one of them but it was a comment on Twitter that really did make me smile the widest...and that came from....*drum roll*.....Tim Holtz!! I couldn't believe it and I will admit I did have a little happy dance.

So, after that bit of excitement...today I'm sharing the last of my DT samples for Clarity Stamp and as always, I hope you like them!!
I will admit out of all the cards that I made for the July shows on Create and Craft...this card with the ships was the one I was most proud of!! It all came together so well and I was so pleased with the overall effect that I managed to create using the Distress Inks for the background. I just loved it and it was very hard to let this one go...

The second card uses the Music Notes stamp and the Holly Boughs and for this one, I decided to cluster the holly around the music and create a vintage feel, which I thought worked really well.

So, I really hope you've been inspired by all the cards I made for this month's Clarity shows and as always thank you for stopping by and leaving all your comments, either here, on twitter or on Facebook!!

Tomorrow, I'm back with something a little bit special...so, be sure to drop by if you have a chance.
See you then and bye for now!

With Love...

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend and that the sun shone wherever you are!!

Today's share is a very special card because the Sarah Hurley DT are all celebrating Sarah's birthday with a little surprise blog hop. Now, you should have arrived here at my blog, courtesy of my lovely DT member Jaine and I hope you'll join me in wishing my very good friend, Sarah a very happy birthday...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH xx
This card is made using the Bohemian collection of papers and die cut flowers from Craftwork Cards. I used the Candi stamps to stamp directly onto the Candi to make up my wording and then covered the Candi in Glossy Accents.

The next stop on this blog hop is the very lovely Elaine, so just click HERE and you will be whisked straight over to see what Elaine has made!

Hope you all have a wonderful day and I'll see you all again at midnight!
Bye for now...love Emma xxx

What's New Pussycat...

Hello friends!!

Well, yesterday was eventful here at Chez Williams'!! The regular visitors to my blog will know that when I logged onto my blog yesterday I was faced with the mystery of 119 missing photos! You can imagine how I felt, all my work disappeared in a flash and what was worse, they had also disappeared from The Artistic Stamper Creative Team blog and from Craftwork Cards...arghhhhh! So, after spending all morning trying everything I could think of, I decided there was nothing else for it but to manually reload and restore every photo that was missing on all the blogs I'm connected to! Big sigh...

...I finally finished this mammoth task, this morning and please keep your fingers crossed that nothing, not one tiny image disappears!! If it does and you hear screams from NW London, you'll know why!! Lol... The moral of this tale is: always keep back ups of your photos, if I hadn't have had them, I would have lost so much work and would've been heartbroken!!

So now, without further ado ~ it's time to share my penultimate DT samples that I created for the Clarity Stamp shows at the weekend and here they are. As always, I hope you love them!
Out of all the samples that I made for June, I think this has to be my favourite. I just loved those silhouettes against that cloudy sky at dusk.
The background was created using Distress Inks and I built up the scene using a selection of the stamps that Barbara was using in her Classroom shows.

The second card is using the miniature Wrought Iron set of stamps, together with the Clarity characters. For this card, I created a summer's day background and then stamped the silhouette of girl onto scene and then I used the separate umbrella stamp and stamped that directly onto the background, to give the effect of the girl holding it.

So, that's it from me for today and tomorrow, will see the final share of my samples.
Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look at what I've created and I can't wait to read your comments!
See you soon and bye for now...love Emma xxx
