Winter Wonderland

Another week has flown by and to be honest, I must admit...I REALLY don't know what time of day it is at the moment ~ I could've sworn we were only on Wednesday!! Lol!!

Anyway, I now know it's THURSDAY...*repeats to oneself, over and over again* and of course, this means it's the penultimate day of my Clarity shares and as always, I hope you like it!!
I actually did a similar card to this for Barbara's shows in Germany, which I will share with you all soon but of course, I needed to make a few alterations so that they weren't the same and even though I used the same stamp set, this one actually looks very different when you compare them.
The card is actually made up of three single stamps but to achieve the snowy forest in the background, I just stamped repeatedly until I was happy. I then created the snowy effect and the sky, using my well loved and used DI's before colouring the house with Promarkers and adding glitter highlights.

Also, just before I go...some of you will remember that I joined my lovely friend Sarah Hurley during the summer to be a part of Kirstie Allsopp's new show and many of you said at the time, that when I knew it was airing to let you know...well tonight is the first of the series and for all I know, I might have ended up on the cutting room floor but for those Kirstie fans amongst you...you can tune in at 8:00 on Channel 4!!!
So, that's it from me for today and thank you so much for dropping by to visit me and I'll look forward to reading all your comments!! It's always so good to see them all and really does make all the hard work worthwhile!
I'll be back tomorrow with my final share of the week...so, I'll see you then!!
Bye for now...love Emma xxx

Shh...don't tell anyone but Christmas has arrived!!

Happy Friday, everyone and I hope you're all looking forward to the weekend!!

Yesterday, you might remember that I teased you a little with something very special over at Craftwork Cards and, if you haven't bought this fab kit yet...then what are you waiting for?!?!? Just click HERE for all the details and then, go and treat yourself...you know you want to and if you're like me, you can resist anything but temptation!! :)

In the meantime, no pressure of course but this is just one of the cards that you can make...I hope you like it!!
If you are a member of the Craftwork Cards Privilege Club, then you can access a video where the lovely, and very talented Julie Hickey shows you how to make this card and my other card design, using the product that you will receive in the kit!
The wreath was coloured using Promarkers, which can be bought directly from Letraset. They have some fabulous offers at the moment, so if you're a fan...go check it out! I added Stickles Glitter Glue and Glossy Accents to highlight them and give them the finishing touch!

Time for me to pour myself a glass of wine and say hello to the weekend and celebrate another ✓ of the  infamous "to~do list"!!
I'll be around later to catch up on all your lovely creations...not sure where this week went but I apologise if I'm kinda slow these days in commenting!! Sorry...please forgive me?!?!

See you all tomorrow with the second card made from this fab kit!
Bye for now...love Emma xxx

Carnival

Well, the last few days have been very, VERY busy...but then again, when isn't it in the life of Emma?? lol.  At the moment, I'm having a race against time to get some exciting projects finished by the end of the week and you will be able to see what I've been up to, on QVC next week!! Stay tuned for programme times and more information...

I'm also now able to unveil my other big news...*drumroll*...as some of you are probably aware, the lovely Hels Sheridan recently left The Artistic Stamper Creative Team. Hels has been the Creative Team Co-Ordinator over on the blog for quite a while and has done an absolutely fabulous job and when Hels left, I was thrilled to be asked by Jennie to take on this position and I want to say a HUGE thank you to Jennie for trusting me to take over and I really hope I will do both her, and the wonderful girls on the team, all the credit they deserve! If you can, I hope you will all join us for the monthly challenges and as I learn the ropes, give me some moral support!! :)

So, last but never least...*counts to ten and breathes*....

...here's my card share for today ~ I hope you like it!!!
This was another card that I made for the Clarity shows, from last weekend and used the smaller of the masks from the stamp set, together with the harlequin pattern stamp. The embossed background is created using the most gorgeous embossing folder from Couture Creations and I have a feeling that this will be featuring in a lot of my cards, over the coming weeks.

So, that's about it for me for today...I will be around later to visit all your blogs and see all your fabulous work...I'm just a little slower these days. LOL!!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at what I've made...I really do appreciate all the love and support that you continually show.

See you soon.

Burlesque

I know that I say this a LOT but this week has absolutely flown by, hasn't it? I think it's gone quicker than any other week, yet and what a week it's been! The weather was absolutely horrendous here in NW London yesterday...rain, thunder, lightning and MORE rain and even though the garden needed the water, my little strawberry plants took a right old battering and don't even mention the herbs which have been badly bruised and battered by the heavy rain. I think this is a case for Richard Jackson's Flower Power, I hope that will give them the boost they need...

Anyway, enough about my days acting out "The Good Life"...and back to the cards. I hope you like today's share, which was a special card that I made for a friend's birthday.
This is an stamp from Kanban and I have used it in a previous card but I just love her so much and couldn't resist bringing it out again because I thought it would be perfect for my friend.
The image itself is handpainted with a combination of Kuretake's Art & Graphic Pens and Perfect Pearls, mixed with a little water. I added glitter highlights to the feathers on the dress, to give it that va va voom. And finally, to go with this glamorous lady, I made a selection of paper flowers, using Paperartsy's grunge flower die and the Retro Flower punch from EK Success and added them all down the side of the card.

Well, I'd better be going...there is a cup of coffee to drink and lots of crafting to be done.
Hope you all enjoy your long weekend. Have you got anything exciting planned?
See you all next week!

Symphony In Black

Hello, everyone and thank you, so much for all your lovely comments on the cards that I posted last week. I was really overwhelmed with them and it really does mean so very much to me, to know that all my friends took time out of their busy schedules to tell me, that they liked them.

So, this is the start of another week and has already been quite eventful. At the moment, I'm working on some more samples for the next Clarity show on Create and Craft, on April 3rd. I've also received some gorgeous pens from the lovely people at Kuretake, this morning and I'm frantically trying to make some cards for them, with a deadline of Friday!!!!

That's not to mention that I've got my Mum's birthday to organise for the weekend and a cake to bake...will I do it?? *Mission Impossible music starts to play*...I'll let you know... lol

But before the mayhem broke loose, I did manage to make this card...I hope you like it!

I'm actually a very big fan of the work of the artist Erté and this is my favourite illustration of his. So, when I was browsing through The Craft Barn the other day and saw this fabulous stamp from Katzelkraft, I just knew it would find it's way into my shopping basket and I wasn't disappointed when it finally arrived ~ I love it!!!

I know that this is the most popular of all his artwork but I think you can tell why...it's just so simple, elegant and depicts the Art Deco era perfectly and I really hope I've done this image and Erté justice with my card!

The papers that I used are from Inspire Me and I coloured the image with Promarker Pens, adding highlights of Stickles glitter glue.

Well, I'd better get back to stamping and also playing Florence Nightingale to my Mum, who isn't very well, at the moment.
I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!
See you soon...

Pure and Simple

Well, the world of crafting isn't always an easy one and I must admit, today I have struggled...don't ask me why but my mojo seems to have disappeared into a puff of glitter!! But tomorrow will be another day and for now, I'm going to pack up, flick through some magazines and find my inspiration in a cup of coffee and a pastry!!

But before I go, I wanted to share a card that I made before that pesky crafting fairy stole my mojo.

I hope you like it...

 WHAT DID I USE?
STAMP: Creative Expressions
GLITTER: Stickles Stardust Glitter Glue
HANDMADE ROSES: Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Dies/K&Co Paper
DIE CUTTING: Spellbinders Nesties Scalloped Circle/Tim Holtz Flourishes
PUNCH: Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly Punch
Bazzill Card, Shimmer Paper, Ribbons all from my Craft Box
I'm off to enjoy my extra strong espresso and Danish Pastry and I hope you're all having a fabulous week, so far!
Psst...and if you see that fairy, tell her I want my mojo back!
See you soon...

Moonshadow

Happy Tuesday and oh my, isn't it cold outside! But at least it gives me the good excuse to stay in, keep warm and write my Christmas cards. Though before I do anything else...as promised, here are some more of the Clarity Stamp samples!!

Once again, they are so totally different from each other but it shows the versatility that you can achieve with these stamps. You, are in control...YOU, are the artist!!

On this first card, I used the Small Moonshadow, together with the Naked Tree stamp, which when combined with the Small Remountable Set of Leaves, creates some fabulous trees. The background colours were again, created using Distress Inks and I dusted Perfect Pearls over the moon to give the shimmery glow.

I'm also loving the style of these cards, which actually look harder to make than they are... It's just a matter of getting all your measurements right and with a few clever folds...you have a wonderful card blank to showcase your creations!

For this card and in stark contrast to the previous one, I made this frame card which I had previously used on one of my Gorjuss Girls cards. The main image is once again built up using a combination of Clarity Stamps and then glittered to give the snowy feel to the little country cottage in the woods!
I hope you like today's share and of course, I can't wait to show you the other's that I made...including what I think is my favourite stamp of the show and the card that I was most pleased with!

Before I go, I just wanted to say a big hello to all my new followers!!
It's always great to see new faces and I hope that I get to know you all in time!
Enjoy the remainder of your Tuesday and thanks for stopping by to see my little creations!

Snow is falling...

Another weekend has come and gone and also, another Clarity Stamp show on Create and Craft! This was my second time making samples as part of Barbara's fabulous DT and I still get so excited when I seemy all my cards on TV, it's just such a great feeling!

You can see more of the Design Team's samples if you click here: Clarity Stamp Gallery.

Once again,  the response to my samples was overwhelming and I received lots of love and positive comments from my family, close friends and also all my friends on twitter, with a special mention to Josie, who left me such a lovely comment on my last card and post...THANKS JOSIE!! :D Each and every comment still means so much to me and I'm so pleased to know that you love what I do and all that hard work, is worth it!

So, here is the first of my samples, featuring the Pheasant and Treescape stamps.
On this card, I was particularly pleased with how the Treescape scene turned out... Using Distress Inks, it gives the most atmospheric feel to the image.

My second sample and so very different to the first card, which shows that these stamps are just so versatile and that once you own a rubber stamp...you are the artist, they are what you make them...

So, I hope you liked the first of my samples that I made for the show and I'll be back tomorrow to share some more with you all!!

Have a wonderful week...
