"Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world." — Marilyn Monroe

To do list: ✓✓✓
Still to do list: ☐ ☐ ☐ ☐ ☐ ☐
lol ~ Evening everyone and yup, the life of Emma is still a busy one and at the moment, I think I'm crafting for England and there's only two things in life that can help me through the workload...coffee and chocolate and in large amounts!! By the time I've finished, I think I'll resemble the size of a house.

But I've making lots of lovely things and working with lots of gorgeous goodies and I can't wait to show them all to you!

But here's one I made earlier and I hope you like it...
The stamp is from the Personal Impressions range of Travilla's fashion designs for Marilyn Monroe and I really wanted to try to capture the feel of the house of Travilla, using images from Tim Holtz's Haberdashery set, vintage ribbon, pins and the lovely papers from K & Company.
I stamped the Marilyn image in Stazon and watercoloured it with Kuretake's Art and Graphic Twin pens.
Well, it's time for me to go and collapse on the sofa and start chanting again...keep calm and carry on, keep calm and carry on...you won't believe how many times I say this to myself in a day!! :)
See you soon...

I Can See Clearly Now...

Hi everyone and hope you're all having a great Wednesday.

As you know, every month the wonderful Craftwork Cards have a Project of The Month and this month is all about The Classics. It's a fabulous collection of all the great things you would expect from them, including enough blank cardstock and envelopes to make 24 cards, Candi, lots and lots of die cut messages in all shapes and sizes and the amazing new, Alphabits. All you need to do, is to add paper and adhesive...it's as easy as that!!!

I had so much fun with this kit and made lots of cards which I will show you over the next few days but this is the first of those shares and I hope you like it!
It's been a while since I've made an acetate card but I thought I'd give it another go and I am over the moon with how it turned out. I just hope the photos do the beauty of an acetate card justice...believe me, unless you're David Bailey, acetate isn't the easiest of products to photograph. lol

When you're making acetate cards, it's so hard to find really good quality acetate that will withstand the weight of embellishments and not become all droopy...so, if like me, you have had trouble in the past, then it will not be a problem any longer because I would recommend Craftwork Cards acetate. It's fabulous quality and it will not let you down...so to speak!! hehe...
Using a Tim Holtz stamp, I stamped onto the acetate with white Stazon and then adhered the pretty pink flowers that I made using the Rose Creations Spellbinders Die and papers from the Cottontail paper pack. I added some of those infamous Spellbinders flourishes that I might have mentioned how much I love, just once or twice in previous posts, some Candi and finally, a circle message from the Project of the Month.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your day.
Thank you for stopping by and looking at all my little creations and for all your lovely comments.
See you soon.

Here Come's The Rain...

So, the weekend is finally upon us and I hope everyone has a relaxing and peaceful time. And to all you Mum's out there...Happy Mother's Day for Sunday!!!

As for me, the mind is still buzzing with creativity...my Tim Holtz Resist Kraft Pad has arrived ~ yay, together with some goodies from Graphic 45 and Kaisercraft. There are so many fabulous companies out there producing crafty items, it's hard to choose a favourite. But together with My Mind's Eye, these are definitely some of the very best in my opinion, at the moment.

As for today, the card I'm sharing is a little bit different to some of the cards, I've been making over the last few weeks but who could resist this little umbrella girl from the S.W.A.L.K. collection by Crafters Companion. She's adorable and is perfect for someone, who like me....has a little bit of a thing for umbrellas!! lol
After stamping onto watercolour paper, using a Stazon ink pad, I handpainted the outline image with Kuretake's, Art and Graphic Twin Pens. I then just tore the painted image from the sheet of paper, which leaves that fabulous edge, making it look like a little work of art. I used My Mind's Eye papers, on the card blank and as finishing touches, I stamped the Tim Holtz sentiment and a flourish. I made two rosettes from the same backing papers, using Tim's new rosette die, popped on little buttons and finally, added by bow. I am absolutely in love with this vintage ribbon, at the moment and I think you'll be seeing a lot of it on my cards!!

Well, that's it from me for this week. Don't forget that Barbara Gray and ClarityStamp is live on Create and Craft on Sunday at 10 a.m. ~ 12 p.m. and then again, in the afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
As for me, yep...you guessed it, I can't wait to show you all the samples I made for the show, throughout next week and I really hope you'll come and have a look.
See you on Monday!!
Love to all...

She's a lady...

I hope everybody's had a wonderful weekend and to end this beautiful sunny day, I thought I'd share another creation.

And today, it's something a little bit different to my recent cards, quite simple in it's beautiful monochromatic tones but very elegant and stylish. I bought this Hero Arts stamp quite a while ago, it might even have been one of my very first rubber stamp purchases but I think it's a beautiful image and it's such a joy to work with.

Using a black Stazon ink pad, I stamped the image onto cream card, which I'd previously punched with a decorative corner punch and then coloured it in, keeping the colours quite subtle and muted, using grey Marvy le Plume watercolour pens. I embossed some black DL cardstock, to give an Art Deco feel to the card and then using some silver mirri card, I matted and layered the image onto it and then adhered this to the embossed card stock. To complete the card, I added a few diamante gems to the corners and a black satin ribbon, run down the side of the card.
