Oh Christmas Tree...Oh Christmas Tree

I can't believe that it's Thursday!!! Where do these weeks keep going?

Well, as always it's mad busy at Chez Williams' today but there doesn't seem to be much coming out of the production line. My crafting is a bit like my head at the moment...all over the place! lol I've got at least three projects on the go and probably ten whirling around in my mind! So, I'm taking a break...counting to ten and popping on here to say hello and show you all today's Clarity share.

Once again, I opted to let the stamps and die cutting do the talking...I just wanted to create an elegant, sophisticated looking Christmas card and after a little bit of embossing, a lot of turning of the wheel on my little pink Cuttlebug and then some stamping, punching and distressing...this is what I came up with.

 

Well, I'd better get my nose back to the grindstone...there are some little creations that are calling my name and need some tlc to get them looking their very best!!

Beautiful Birds

Well, today was a bit of a scorcher, wasn't it? And I'm now going to be a typical Brit and say..."I'll be glad when this weather is over"!! hehe I must admit I'm not a "33˚C" girl and today, was just too hot, if it was up to me I'd have snow all year round, just without the disruption it causes!

Anyway, the weather might have been hot but I thought I'd fill you all in on what's been happening here, in Emma's world!!

And first, I wanted to share the cards with you that I made for the June issue of Making Cards Magazine.  Some of you might have seen them but for those who haven't...this is the complete set of "Beautiful Birds". Hope you like them...

And now to what I've been up to this weekend...I had my first batch of home grown strawberries and they were delish!! I'm so proud of these little beauties.

And the rest of my weekend was taken up with, watching Wimbledon and yes, I'm devastated that Andy Roddick went out, a bit of shopping and of course, no shopping expedition is complete without the obligatory coffee and muffin! And then when I got home, I worked on my Craftwork Cards projects. As I might have mentioned once or twice, I'm excited~so, you'll have to forgive me, lol...Craftwork Cards have been invited to be part of a cross promotional partnership with Spellbinders and here is the first of a sneaky peek of what I've been up too. Can you tell what it is yet? This, is just one of my little pieces of creativity, all the others will be revealed very soon ~ just watch this space...

Oh well, I'm off to sit in front of a fan and try and stay cool!!

Take a Peek At What's On My WorkDesk on Wednesday (and a card)

Well, it's Wednesday, so that means only one thing...it's time for WOYWW 107 and if you head over to the lovely Julia's blog, Stamping Ground you can check out all the other creative spaces and see what all us Crafty peeps are up to!

As you can see by my photos...I've been taken over by Craftwork Cards and Spellbinders and I'm having a ball working on some DT projects. Did you hear my squeals of delight as I opened the box of goodies when they arrived on Monday? lol And look at all that Candi...all those gorgeous little gems...I'm in heaven!

But it's not all about the delicious products from Craftwork Cards, I also have a little card to share with you all. This is another card that I made for the Kuretake shows on Create & Craft, using a stamp from Crafters Companion and some more of those gorgeous flourishes from Spellbinders.

As I mentioned in a previous post, when I made these samples for Kuretake, I really wanted to show the versatility of the pens and how you can use them on all sorts of different images and achieve different watercolour effects. Hope you like it...

Well, I've got a date with a Cuttlebug and some Candi...so, it's time to wave the wand and izzy wizzy ~ let's get busy, hehe. And by the end of my working day, I'll be round to see all your lovely blogs and creations, so...see you all soon!

Snow is falling...

Another weekend has come and gone and also, another Clarity Stamp show on Create and Craft! This was my second time making samples as part of Barbara's fabulous DT and I still get so excited when I seemy all my cards on TV, it's just such a great feeling!

Once again,  the response to my samples was overwhelming and I received lots of love and positive comments from my family, close friends and also all my friends on twitter, with a special mention to Josie, who left me such a lovely comment on my last card and post...THANKS JOSIE!! :D Each and every comment still means so much to me and I'm so pleased to know that you love what I do and all that hard work, is worth it!

So, here is the first of my samples, featuring the Pheasant and Treescape stamps.

On this card, I was particularly pleased with how the Treescape scene turned out... Using Distress Inks, it gives the most atmospheric feel to the image.

My second sample and so very different to the first card, which shows that these stamps are just so versatile and that once you own a rubber stamp...you are the artist, they are what you make them...

So, I hope you liked the first of my samples that I made for the show and I'll be back tomorrow to share some more with you all!!

Dreaming of a White Christmas...

Even though the majority of snow has disappeared here in London, it's still extremely cold out there and we still have the threat of more bad weather to come! I wonder if we will have a white Christmas? That would be, my dream come true!

But there's so much to do before then and my list seems to be getting longer instead of shorter... arghhhh!!

In the meantime, I've made lots of lovely cards to share with you all over the next couple of weeks and I can't wait for you to see them. I am so proud of some of these cards...and I particularly like the one I'm sharing today...and here it is...

I love the way this card came together, it's extremely colourless, if you know what I mean...but so effective! For me, it captures that icy, wintery feel, so well.

I must admit, I am loving using my Cuttlebug and Big Shot to die cut and emboss all these elements and for me, these two machines have really transformed my work. I don't know where I'd be without them...it would be like cutting my right hand off! hehe...

Of course, that beautiful, elegant deer is from Tim Holtz's Alterations range and the snowflakes are die cut using a Spellbinders die, which has been so useful for all my Christmas cards this year. The JOY message that I stamped onto white card is from Paula Pascual's Stamp range and I matted and layered it all using papers from Dovecraft, some Bazzill cardstock and some Centura Pearl card, that I embossed using a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Finally, I just wanted to let you all know that the wonderful Barbara Gray and Clarity Stamps, will be on Create and Craft tomorrow morning at 11:00am and if you look carefully, together with all the lovely cards from the fab DT at Clarity, you might see some of the samples that I made for the show and will be sharing with you all next week!

Entered into The Stamp Man Challenge Blog: Challenge 11 ~ Take Any 3 colours!

It's A Man's World...

Hi everyone...

Yesterday, I promised that I would share some more of the samples I made for Clarity Stamp...and because I didn't want to break that promise, here they are. And this set features the Gentlemen's stamps and the large Stamp stamp!!

Once again, on all of these cards, I've combined the stamps with various Tim Holtz products including Distress Inks to build up the colour on the backgrounds. I've also used the Rosette Die, the Flourishes die and also one of his "On The Edge" dies for the decorative border.

Thank you for all the kind comments that were left on my last post...I'm really pleased that you liked the cards that I made as much I loved creating them. They really are the kind of stamps that get your creative juices flowing and if you've never used any the Clarity stamps...I urge you to give them a go. You will not be sorry!!
