Needle & Thread

Evening friends...
Today, I am saying goodbye to the Merly Impressions DT. I've had a wonderful time as part of this team and I wish the new team the best of luck in the future but there's one person I really want to say a very big thank you to, and that's Chrissy ~ thank you for all your support throughout the 18 months I have worked alongside you and I know that I will be working with Kaisercraft goodies in the future and I already have three wonderful projects to be featured in the future issues of Making Cards Magazine!
So, as I say farewell to move onto new and exciting projects...here is my last card and in my opinion, I think I saved the best until last... As always, I hope you like it!
You can click HERE to be whisked over to the Merly Impressions blog to see how I made this card and what I used.
The mannequin is a Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alterations die and that HUGE flower is die cut from chiffon material, using the Tattered Florals die. I thought I'd make a statement on this card and I just love how it turned out!!

So, that's it from me for today and I'm now going to head to the kitchen, see what's in those cupboards of mine and make dinner!
See you all very soon with another creation from Chez Williams'
Bye for now...love Emma xxx

Ladies That Lunch...

Good morning everyone!!
When you look outside the window, hear the howling wind, seeing the pouring rain and feel the central heating blaring away, can you actually believe that we are in May?!?! It's more like November. As I said to a friend yesterday, this is probably the price we pay for those three days of summer that we had three weeks ago...and what a price!!!
At least it means it's good crafting weather and as I finish my next magazine commission, it's nice to feel snug as a bug, wrapped up in the warmth inside!!
As many of you know, I have stepped down from the Merly Impressions DT but today and tomorrow are my very final DT projects that I made and I was very lucky to use the gorgeous Needle and Thread collection from Kaisercraft. As always, I hope you like my little creations...
If you want to read all about how I made these cards and the products that I used, then just click HERE to be whisked over to the Merly blog!
The card blank that I used on this particular card is from Which Craft UK and is just one of many fabulous designs!
That's it from me for today but before I go, thank you to all the people who left me a comment on my Tim Holtz Tag for his 12 Tags of 2013 challenge and a big hello to all my new followers!! I hope you enjoy the journey with me and I'm looking forward to getting to know you...
See you again tomorrow with my final *sniff* card from Merly.
Bye for now and have a wonderful day.

Little Boy Blue...

Hello friends ~ it's another stunning day outside and just how I like it!! Sun shining but not too hot...perfect!!

Today, I'm just dropping by to say hello and to share my second but last DT project for Merly Impressions. As always, I really hope you like it...
I must admit, that when I saw the boy collection from Bundle of Joy by Kaisercraft, this was my favourite because of the colour tones. I'm not really a "pink girl"...but as you might notice, I do love blue!! I also love that stamp of the baby boy...it was just such a gorgeous image and so cute...

The stamped image is coloured using Distress Marker pens.
If you want to find out what I used to create this card, then look no further, just pop over to Merly Impressions blog and you can find out all about it!

Well, that's it for me for today...while the body is allowing, I'd better get creating, seize the moment whilst it's there because it won't be around for long ~ lol!!
See you all tomorrow with a Craftwork Cards share and in the meantime,
Happy Friday everyone!!
Bye for now...love Emma xxx

Bundle of Joy

Hi everyone!!
Hope you all had a fabulous and relaxing weekend!
Today, I'm sharing a couple of projects, which are my penultimate projects as a member of the Merly Impressions DT, which I have decided to step down from. I will be so sorry not to be working with the gorgeous Kaisercraft products on a monthly basis but in the last 18 months that I've been part of the team, I have had so much fun with all the fabulous collections that I have used and I have to say a very BIG thank you to Chrissy for allowing me to indulge in these goodies!!
So, here it goes ~ my last but one project for and for this set, I was very lucky to use the ever so cute, Bundle of Joy papers and embellishments...as always, I hope you like it!
In this particular collection, there are papers for both a new baby girl and a new baby boy and it's all done with a beautiful vintage feel. As you can see, I made a gift box and a card using the Baby Girl collection...
Inside the box, which I lined with some more of the papers.
If you would like to see what I used and how I made this set of projects, then just click HERE to be whisked over to Merly Impressions Blog to read all about it.
All Bundle of Joy products are from Merly Impressions and the kraft card and box are from Craftwork Cards...
Okey dokey, that's it from me for today...I am off to see what I have in the cupboards and to rustle up tonight's dinner ~ thank you so much for dropping by today and I'll be back tomorrow with my final DT project for Merly and something for the little boys in our lives!
See you then and bye for now....love Emma xxx

Spring Has Sprung...

Morning everyone!!
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter and the Easter bunny treated you well!! I was left with a good stash of choccie which will keep me going for a while, so I was happy!!
But I can't quite believe that it's already Wednesday!!! Is it just me?? Time is flying so quickly, I hardly have time to blink before it's the next day and something else has been added to the "list of things to do, that aren't getting done as quick as I would like"!!! Lol!!
In honour of the sun peeking our from behind the clouds today, I thought today would be a great day to share some of my latest DT makes for Merly Impressions, using the fun and funky Suga Pop collection of papers and die cuts, from Kaisercraft. As always, I really hope you like them...
When you work for a DT, what is so wonderful is that it takes you out of your comfort zone...I probably wouldn't have thought of buying these papers, as they are quite bright for me but for this time of year, I just think they are perfect for and aren't those owls just the cutest?!!?

The Lake House....

Hi everyone!! Hope you're all staying warm and cosy in this unpredictable weather that we're having in March!! It's crazy to see snow falling and such extreme temperatures, isn't it...last week, we had lovely sunshine and I thought spring had arrived and now, the coldest day in March on record!! Oh well, let's keep our fingers crossed that Spring will soon be with us for good and it will banish all these nasty bugs that have plagued so many of us during this long winter!!

In the meantime, I know that Mother's Day has come and gone and eek, can you believe I actually had to buy my Mum a Mother's Day card!?! Sorry Mum but I think pleurisy and cracked ribs gives me a good excuse this year...right?!?! But I do wish that I could've given her this Mother's Day Slider Card that I made way back in December for Making Cards Magazine.... As always, I really hope you like it!
And woo~hoo....here it is on the cover of the March issue of Making Cards!!!
You can still buy back issues of this magazine ~ HERE if you would like a full tutorial and instructions of how I made this and don't forget...this card project isn't just for Mother's Day, it's a perfect card for any time of year and any occasion!!

Papers are from The Lake House Collection by Kaisercraft and available, together with embellishments from Merly Impressions. The paper flowers are created using the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die from Sizzix.

Right...time for me to stop waffling and catch up on emails that are flooding into my inbox!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to pop by and visit...I really do appreciate all the comments you leave and looking forward to reading them all!!
See you all again very soon...bye for now!

Wish You Were Here....

So, when the weather is as miserable as it is right now, what better way to beat those winter blues than to start looking ahead to Summer and when I was sent this collection to play with, at the end of December, that's exactly what I did...

The collection of papers and elements is of course from the wonderful Kaisercraft and is called Tropicana and this is the little mini book that I created with it...I hope you like it!!
You can see exactly how I made it and what I used if you head on over to the Merly Impressions Blog, click HERE. The only added additions were the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vintage Valise Die, some chipboard and seam binding.
Front of mini book
The back of the mini book

Inside the mini book

The only thing that is now left for me to do is...fill it up and I can't wait!!

Right, I have an appointment with the x-ray department today so...I'd better get myself ready for my appearance and photo session!!

See you all soon with another of my creations from my stash that have come in so useful whilst I can't create anything new...bye for now!
