Wonderland...

Hello friends....

Hope you're all having a wonderful week and enjoying the sunshine that we have at the moment! It's been another busy week here at Chez Williams' and Mr Mojo has been a busy little bee thinking up lots of new ideas for new projects to show you over the coming weeks and I can't wait for you to see them all...

In the meantime, I've had a few questions about a current project that is in the May issue of Making Cards Magazine, asking if it would be possible for me to show the project in full and also, to show the cover of the book. Well, your wish is my command and below is each individual page of my Alice In Wonderland star book...

...and if you feel inspired to create it, and it is such a fun project to create...then there is a full tutorial that I wrote in the current issue of Making Cards, available now at Tesco, WHSmith and many, many other places. The magazine is also now available as a digital issue for your tablet.

So, grab a cuppa and I hope you enjoy my photos of the project and don't forget that you can read all about it in Making Cards Magazine, where it has a full stockist list of where to get these gorgeous Alice papers from.

See you all tomorrow, when I hope you will pop back to see a project that I'm very excited to be sharing...my lips are sealed until the morning!!!
Bye for now and have a lovely day...love Emma xxx

Heroes...

Happy Saturday friends...

Hope you've all had a great week and looking forward to the weekend!! I wasn't actually going to post this weekend but suddenly thought of two cards that I made for the October issue of Making Cards Magazine to commemorate Remembrance day and I thought it would be nice to show you them, today and tomorrow!! So, without further ado...here is the first of those cards and I really hope you love it!
To make this card, I used the stunning Delicate Blossoms stamp from Hero Arts and instead of the traditional red poppy, I went for orange, which I thought worked so well with the autumnal feel of the card. The leaves are all hand coloured with Distress Stains and inks and die cut using Tim Holtz's Tattered Leaves die from Sizzix. The beautiful stamped sentiment is from the Tim Holtz stamp set, Classics 5. To complete the card, I dyed some seam binding with Distress Stains to match my colour scheme.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you'll pop back tomorrow to see my second card in this set.

Have a great weekend everyone...love Emma xxx

On This Day....

Hello friends...

I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend and you're all ready for a new week of adventures!! My week is quite full already and there's lots of projects piling up on the craft table waiting for my attention but today, Mr Mojo isn't playing too nicely even after I coaxed him with copious amounts of coffee and cake!! Oh well, maybe tomorrow... :)

In the meantime, I thought I would share another card that I made for a recent issue of Making Cards Magazine. I know there's a few of my followers who can't get this magazine easily, so...for those people who can't get a copy of the mag, I thought it would be nice to share my cards here on the blog and I really hope you love all of them and especially, this one...
Every month, I work on a project for the Designs With A Difference feature and it's always challenging to come up with a new ideas, sometimes they come together easy, other times...they're a bit more challenging but this card was one of those that just worked perfectly and I was so pleased with how it turned out. For all details of how to make this very special card that was in the August issue, you can buy back issues of the magazine HERE! As you can see, there's quite a lot of detail, so...grab a cuppa and enjoy all the pics...
The papers I used are by Kaisercraft and from the On This Day collection.

With the stepper section closed...
The flowers are by Petaloo and coloured with Distress Stains. I then added die cut leaves around the cluster and a paper bloom through the centre.

Inside the card and a stamped image, together with some fussy cutting.
Well, that's it from me for today and I hope I've inspired you with this card. As always, I really appreciate your visits. At the moment, visitor numbers do seem a little low and my blog is feeling a little sorry for itself so...if you can spread the word and I hope to see some of the old faces back so, I can say hello!!
See you all again soon...love Emma xxx

The Littlest Things...

"Sometimes the littlest things take up the most room in your heart" ~ Winnie The Pooh

Hello friends!!

Hope you've all had a fab start to your week! It's nice to have some cooler weather at last, and I must admit the last couple of days have actually felt very autumnal...which I'm more than happy about because it's my favourite time of year!!

Today, I've been busy working on a magazine commission and I'm so pleased and excited about this one, at the moment it's still absolutely top secret but I can't wait for you all to see it when it finally appears!!

In the meantime, here's a couple of cards that I made and were featured in the June issue of Making Cards Magazine. They are made using the Bundle of Joy collection from Kaisercraft and as you can see, there's one for a girl and one for a boy...as always, I hope you like them!
The stamped image of the baby girl is coloured with Distress Marker pens and if you scroll down a little further you can see a hidden surprise under that image, which I don't think was shown in the magazine but I'm able to show it off now!!

Here's some of the close up detail of the card.

Then comes the little boy card and i just loved the shabby chic feel and colours to this one...

Once again, the stamped image was coloured with Distress Marker Pens and I added seam binding, rosettes and die cut elements to complete this scalloped round card.

So, I really hope you like what I've created and I'm so pleased I could show you these cards in a little more detail!!

Before I go, I just wanted to let you all know that there is something very exciting happening on Create and Craft tomorrow....
...yes, Craftwork Cards are launching all their gorgeous designs and goodies and I know that I for one will be sitting down with a cuppa and a biscuit to watch the wonderful and very talented Julie Hickey demonstrate some wonderful new kits and I really hope you'll be able to tune in to!!
See you all very soon and thank you so much for stopping by and visiting today!!
Bye for now...love Emma xxx

Be Happy...

Hi everyone...

Hope you're all having a wonderful week, so far!! This post was meant to be here on Monday but it's been another of those weeks that has flown by and I'm not even sure how it even got to Wednesday!! Is it only me that feels that the days are going faster and the time fairy is stealing precious minutes? When I broke up for my summer holidays, all those years ago, those 6 weeks seemed forever but now, I think you'd only blink and you'd be back at school!!

Now this particular card will be familiar to all the Making Cards Magazine readers as it was on the front cover of the July issue but I thought it would be really nice to show you the project in detail. So, here it is...inside and out and as always, I hope you like it!!
This card was a "pop up gift card" and as you can see from the pics below, it holds your gift card perfectly inside and is such a fab surprise for the recipient.
The stamps I used are by Hero Arts and the papers by Kaisercraft. From what I can remember and I did make it quite a while ago, so forgive me but I think they were the Pickled Pear collection!!!! I coloured the each of the individual flowers with Distress Markers and then painstakingly cut them all out and layered them up.

Inside of the card showing the gift card in place.

Well, that's it from me for today...I've got a little bit more creating to do, then I must raid the cupboards to see what's for dinner!!
See you all very soon and thank you so much for stopping by, I can't wait to read all your comments.

Bye for now...love Emma xxx
