Hi everyone!! Hope you're all staying warm and cosy in this unpredictable weather that we're having in March!! It's crazy to see snow falling and such extreme temperatures, isn't it...last week, we had lovely sunshine and I thought spring had arrived and now, the coldest day in March on record!! Oh well, let's keep our fingers crossed that Spring will soon be with us for good and it will banish all these nasty bugs that have plagued so many of us during this long winter!!
In the meantime, I know that Mother's Day has come and gone and eek, can you believe I actually had to buy my Mum a Mother's Day card!?! Sorry Mum but I think pleurisy and cracked ribs gives me a good excuse this year...right?!?! But I do wish that I could've given her this Mother's Day Slider Card that I made way back in December for Making Cards Magazine.... As always, I really hope you like it!
And woo~hoo....here it is on the cover of the March issue of Making Cards!!!
You can still buy back issues of this magazine ~ HERE if you would like a full tutorial and instructions of how I made this and don't forget...this card project isn't just for Mother's Day, it's a perfect card for any time of year and any occasion!!
Papers are from The Lake House Collection by Kaisercraft and available, together with embellishments from Merly Impressions. The paper flowers are created using the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die from Sizzix.
Right...time for me to stop waffling and catch up on emails that are flooding into my inbox!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to pop by and visit...I really do appreciate all the comments you leave and looking forward to reading them all!!
See you all again very soon...bye for now!

Emma, it was one of your best (though how we are to judge your work, heaven knows - it is all superlative) and yes, your Mum would have loved it. Simple answer - make TWO of everything you are commissioned to do! I know, some people hinder more than help with daft comments and ideas...
ReplyDeleteYes, March is creeping along so far - may the days of sun and warmth soon come back to heal the ills that many are suffering.
Stunningly beatiful card.
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself, hope you're fully recovered soon.
Gorgeous card Emma, fabulous design and layout. Wonderful flowers and image and I love the wooden letters. So worth being showcased on the front cover. Look after yourself. Tracy x

ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful card, I love that Lakehouse paper. I have it to scrapbook but just get it out, look at it and put it away again, it's too lovely to use!!
Take care and hope you feel better soon.

Too stunning for words actually
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning Emma and I'm sure your Mum would have loved this too. I wonder what the mags do with our cards once they've finished with them?
