Ladies That Lunch...

Good morning everyone!!
When you look outside the window, hear the howling wind, seeing the pouring rain and feel the central heating blaring away, can you actually believe that we are in May?!?! It's more like November. As I said to a friend yesterday, this is probably the price we pay for those three days of summer that we had three weeks ago...and what a price!!!
At least it means it's good crafting weather and as I finish my next magazine commission, it's nice to feel snug as a bug, wrapped up in the warmth inside!!
As many of you know, I have stepped down from the Merly Impressions DT but today and tomorrow are my very final DT projects that I made and I was very lucky to use the gorgeous Needle and Thread collection from Kaisercraft. As always, I hope you like my little creations...
If you want to read all about how I made these cards and the products that I used, then just click HERE to be whisked over to the Merly blog!
The card blank that I used on this particular card is from Which Craft UK and is just one of many fabulous designs!
That's it from me for today but before I go, thank you to all the people who left me a comment on my Tim Holtz Tag for his 12 Tags of 2013 challenge and a big hello to all my new followers!! I hope you enjoy the journey with me and I'm looking forward to getting to know you...
See you again tomorrow with my final *sniff* card from Merly.
Bye for now and have a wonderful day.

A Ladies Diary...

Okay, whoever stole this week...could you please give it back?!?! I can't believe it's Friday but I'm definitely looking forward to the weekend and hopefully, I'll feel up to playing with all those new crafting goodies that slipped into my basket in light of not being able to get to Ally Pally last weekend ~ they all arrived this morning and I'm a very happy bunny with all my purchases!! I'll be taking pics to share my online haul, asap!! :)

In the meantime, I thought I would share a project that I made a while ago but was in a recent issue of Making Cards Magazine. It features A Ladies Diary, which is one of my favourite Graphic 45 collections ever and as always, I hope you love this set of three cards...

The card blanks that I used throughout this set are from Which Craft? and are just gorgeous!! If you love different shaped card blank and you've never paid them a visit, then what are you waiting for ~ click HERE now!

I just want to say a huge THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to all those who continually leave me comments and visit my blog! I'm so sorry that I haven't been the best blogging buddy over the last few months but I do see all your creations and I always "ooh and ahh" when I see them!! As soon as I'm back on my feet and 100%, I will return and be visiting every single one of you!!
Until then, hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I will see you next week...

Draw Back Your Bow...

Well, once again the weekend has flown by and apart from our car breaking down yesterday, it was a relatively uneventful and quiet time...maybe, this is just the calm before another crafty storm?? hee hee...

I hope you all had lovely weekends and a big hello to all my new followers who joined my little blog over the weekend. It's always great to see new faces and please, come and say hello...I'm really looking forward to getting to know you all really well.

So, I'm sure the romantic amongst us haven't forgotten that tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I hope you like what I've made for this occasion.
Some of you might remember my Christmas cracker project and I thought it would be nice to use these fabulous "Paula's Crackers" from Which Craft?, to make a series of them for all the special occasions this year. So, ta-dah...I proudly present my Valentine's Day Cracker.
Of course, all the die cuts that I used to make this project are from Lord Tim Holtz and I just spent the afternoon, inking them, moulding, embossing...the list goes on, until I got exactly the look I wanted and believe me, it took a long time to get that cupid to stand of it's own free will. LOL. I used the Tim Holtz music score stamp and stamped onto some card and then layered that onto the sides of the cracker.

Right, it's time for me to go...things to do and lists to try and tick off!
Thank you for stopping by to take a look at what I've made today and I will be coming round to see all your blogs, asap!!
See you soon and bye for now.

Christmas Countdown ~ Day Five

Phew, this week is flying and I can't believe that this is already my penultimate post of my mini Christmas countdown!! Yay, I actually made it - lol!!! I didn't know I was so organized... hee hee!!!

This set of cards was another one that I made for Making Cards and was the set that gave me my first main magazine cover which I was absolutely over the moon about.

The set features Craftwork Cards', Warren and Friends and for these I wanted to try and create lots of different card shapes. So, there's some fab card blanks from the Which Craft? Be Creativ range, together with lots of scoring, folding and a easel card where you can write a hidden message. I also want to say a big thank you to Sue, Julie and the rest of the team at Craftwork Cards for all your support throughout 2011!!

I'm off to do some last minute bits and pieces for Christmas but thanks for stopping by at this really busy time of year to see what I've been up to!!!

See you tomorrow for my final share and something special for all my followers and friends!!

Bye for now!

Christmas Countdown ~ Day One

Morning everyone!!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!!

Well, here we are...the final countdown, only six days to go until Christmas Day!! My preparation is slowly coming together and after finishing a big magazine project at the weekend, I can now finally relax and think...IT"S CHRISTMAS!!

This week, my adventurous plan is to post every day and have a little Christmas countdown here on the blog!! Lol, hmm, I know...I really don't make life easy for myself and I know that this is a busy time for everyone but I hope you'll be able to pop along to see all my Christmas makes and samples that have been keeping me so busy over the last few months...

...and here's my first share and my favourite ~ I made this over the weekend and I really hope you like it!!
I'd just like to say a big thank you, to the lovely Paula at Which Craft? for these fabulous crackers...as soon as they landed on my doorstep, I was so excited by them because they were something really different to work with and it was so nice to be able to spend a couple of hours doing something for myself, something that was totally ~ me!!!
Once again, and as you can probably see ~ there's a lot of Tim Holtz products going on here, grungepaper, die cuts, tissue tape, etc....etc....etc!! I must admit to get that deer standing proud, all on his own free will, was a real patience tester but it was so worth it in the end!! The designer papers are from My Mind's Eye and the decorative pin, from The Ribbon Girl.

So, that's the first of my Christmas countdown posts...and if all goes to plan, I'll be back tomorrow with another one!

Hope you all have a lovely week.
Bye for now.

Happy Friday from a Gorjuss Girl....

Tomorrow, I'm off to the Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show at Alexander Palace which I am really excited about and hopefully, I'll bring back lots of new goodies to work on. I know there are many fabulous exhibitors there and I'm looking forward to seeing what they have.

As for today, it's been busy, lots of creativity, new products and I managed to make a great deal of cards which you will all get to see over the next few days. And there are also some new and interesting card shapes that I've been working on. Some are courtesy of new templates that I bought from Craftwork Cards, others are simply ideas that I came up with and thought they looked really good to show off the main images and I've also been using some fantastic card blanks that I purchased from Which Craft?. I was really impressed with the quality of their products and if you get a chance, please go and have a look.

So, enough about my day and let's show you a card that I made and I make no apologies for the fact that... yes ~ once again, it's more Gorjuss goodies from The Crafthouse Press for you to feast your eyes on. These box cards are just stunning...

What is so wonderful about these cards, is you can make them as simple as you want or you can add embellishments to make them a little bit different and once I made up the little box card, I added some ribbon and paper flowers for finishing touches and I think you will agree that anyone who received this as a card will keep it forever...
