Life's What You Make It...

Hello everyone...

It's a flying visit from me today but I just wanted to share a couple of cards that I had featured in, and on the cover of the September issue of Making Cards Magazine. This project was all about using the PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Limited Edition JOFY paints, (which unfortunately have now sold out) and a beautiful set of JOFY stamps, (collection 24) and shows how you can use the paints, to create different finishes to each layered element. As always, I hope you love what I've created and I can't wait to read all your comments!
The flowers are stamped onto painted card and each layer then cut out, before I added highlights using another, lighter coloured paint. I then layered up each stamped flower to create a dimensional bloom and added a gem to the centre.
For the background, I used another colour from the set over the top of the Crackle Glaze and then, using one of the stamps from the set, I stamped a background pattern over the top of the paint. I layered the completed design onto corrugated card and added a stamped quote.

The second card used the same techniques but I mixed the colours for a different look.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and hope you all have a lovely evening!
See you soon ~ love Emma xxx

He Knows If You've Been Good Or Bad...

Hello friends...

It's time for a new challenge over at The Artistic Stamper and this month's challenge is CHRISTMAS!!! For my piece, this was quite a challenge as when I sat down to make it, I only had one set of AS Christmas stamps and one random message to work with...eek!! But I put my thinking cap on and thought, poinsettias would make it really Christmassy. So, I combined the Artistic Stamper stamps that I had with the some die cut poinsettias that I made using Tim's Tattered Poinsettia die from Sizzix and this is what I created. As always, I hope you like it...
All the details of this challenge are over on The Artistic Stamper Creative Team Blog and you can also see what my lovely DT friends have made.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and thank you also to all my new followers, including Natalie, who left me a lovely comment on one of my Clarity pieces ~ welcome aboard Natalie and I'm so glad you found my blog too, I'm looking forward to getting to know you!!

See you all again very soon and I hope you have a lovely weekend everyone...

It's The Great Pumpkin...

Good morning friends...

Today, I'm sharing another of my Halloween projects, which I have entered into the Halloween Crafting Contest over on the Ranger blog. For this project, I used lots of gorgeous Tim Holtz's goodies ~ his fabulous Halloween Blueprint stamps, (which I love) the bats and numbers from his Sizzix die range, Distress Glitter, Paint and Marker Pens and lots of Idea-ology!! As always, I've taken lots of pictures for you to see all the detail and I hope you love what I've made...

For the background, I used a piece of torn cardboard and ripped away the edges before giving it a covering of PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paint and the crackle glaze.
The main stamped image is from the Halloween Blueprint 2 set, stamped onto watercolour card and coloured with Distress Marker Pens.

If you  look really closely you can see that I added a little shelf to my piece, which was die cut from three pieces of chipboard, fused together and using the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Pediments die. I then stuck it to my piece and added the various sized vials and the wishbones.
To complete the piece, I added a die cut "31" covered with Distress Glitter, a stamped message from the Simple Sayings stamp set, die cut bats and some Remnant Rubs!!
So, that's it from me for today, it's one of those days when I have a million and one things to do and not enough hands...lol!!

Thank you so much for stopping by and as always, I appreciate the time you all take to leave comments!
See you tomorrow....love Emma xxx

Time For A Tea Dance

Good morning everyone!!

Just a quick visit from me today because on the first Saturday every month, it's my turn to share my DT pieces over on the Craftwork Cards Blog and today, I'm sharing a couple of projects that I made using the extremely gorgeous Tea Dance collection.

If you haven't got this collection yet, then I really don't know what you're waiting for because it really is stunning and now, is definitely the time to buy it if you do want it because Craftwork Cards have launched their brand new revamped website and to celebrate the launch, you get 15% discount on your first order from the new website!!

...and if you need any more persuading, here's a little peek of what I created using Tea Dance. For lots more detailed photos and information on what I used, then just click HERE to be whisked over to the Craftwork Cards Blog.
With the exception of the seam binding, buttons and dies, everything that I used to create both of these products is available at Craftwork Cards. To created the wording die cut from chipboard and painted with PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paint, I used the Sizzix/Tim Holtz Word Play die and the rosettes are all created using Tim Holtz Mini Rosette die.
So, that's it from me for today...I'm now ready for another caffeine injection before starting a new month of creativity!! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend and the sun shines for you, wherever you are!!
Thank you so much for dropping by today and I can't wait to read all your comments, either here or on the Craftwork Cards blog.
See you all again very soon....love Emma xxx

Lil Primrose

Hope you've all had a lovely start to your weekend.

It's still absolutely freezing here in West London and we've still got plenty of snow on the ground, after another snowfall on Thursday night but the weathermen have said there's warmer weather on the way, so...it looks as if the worst might be over.

But whilst the weather outside is frightful, there's still plenty going on at Chez Williams and I thought I would drop by to say hello and show you something that I made last week ~ I hope you like it!
Tulip Photo Display by Emma Williams
As you know I absolutely love Kaisercraft products and when a box of goodies arrived from the lovely Chrissy at Merly Impressions, full of some of the latest collections, I was in my element and for just two days, I put aside all my DT duties and indulged in some "me time" and I played with those products. The first of which is this gorgeous Beyond The Page, Tulip Photo Display.
I wanted to keep this piece very fresh and clean looking so, other than a small amount of Peeled Paint, on the Grungepaper leaves and branch, there were no Distress Inks in sight when I made this. I made some enamelled flowers using the Lil Primrose papers and dipped them into UTEE. The white picket fence is painted with PaperArtsy, Fresco Finish Paints and if I'm to be honest, it was actually influenced by Desperate Housewives. I just love the look of those clean white picket fences, with the wisteria growing all around the lane and I thought I would try and emulate that look with this piece.

All items that I used here are from the Lil Primrose Collection available from Merly Impressions.
They also have a fabulous blog full of inspiration and wonderful ideas and is definitely worth a visit.

Okey dokey time for me to fly...have a wonderful, relaxing Saturday night, everyone.
I'll be around to visit all your blogs, asap.
See you soon and bye for now.

You Can Never Have Too Many...

Hi everyone and hope you've all had a fabulous start to you week.

I'm still beavering away and working hard and at the moment, surrounded by lots of crafting goodies from Craftwork Cards, Graphic 45, Kraftin' Kimmie and of course, Lord Tim and that's just to name but a few and I can't wait to start playing and to share everything I make with you, over the coming months. And speaking of samples, I had my first showing on QVC today and I can't believe that the wonderful Dyan Reaveley was the one showing off my work and said how much she liked them!! *faints* lol

...and speaking about being a little excited, today I'm thrilled to share this little project with you all and I really hope you like it...
If you've checked out the latest edition of Making Cards Magazine, you might have seen my card projects using some gorgeous Kaisercraft papers called Velvet Ensemble. I absolutely adore Kaisercraft products and you can imagine how over the moon I was, when the lovely Chrissy from Merly Impressions asked me to work with some more Kaisercraft goodies on a regular basis and then share them with all my lovely followers and friends. And this is the first of those projects using papers and embellishments from the stunning Miss Nelly collection and a Beyond The Page Handbag Tidy.

To make up the handbag, I painted the MDF with PaperArtsy Fresco paint and adhered all the parts together with Glossy Accents which has done a fab job of holding it all secure and solid. I made some handmade flowers from the gorgeous papers and apart from all the other Kaisercraft Miss Nelly products that I used, I added the gorgeous little Eiffel Tower charm from Primark, together with some decorative pins and vintage seam binding from The Ribbon Girl.

It was so nice to be able to make something a little bit different to all the cards I've been making over the last few weeks and I had so much fun making this up!! I can't wait to hear what you think about it.
I'll be around to see all your creations, asap!! Sorry, if I've missed out on some...it's been a crazy few days but I will catch up!
Have a wonderful evening and don't forget there's more craft on QVC later tonight at 10 p.m.

Bye for now!
Love Emma
