My favourite Artistic Stamper pieces and a sad goodbye...

Today, on The Artistic Stamper Creative Team blog is my turn to share my favourite three creations that I've made during 2013 and it's also a very sad post for me, as it's my final post as a member of this wonderful team and as DT Co-Ordinator!! You can read my post and tearful goodbye, if you click HERE but I just wanted to say thank you to Jennie, who has been a really good friend to me over my years on the team and who I will miss working alongside!! I'm going to miss my DT friends but I know we will all stay in touch as I move onto pastures new and an exciting 2014!!

He Knows If You've Been Good Or Bad...

Hello friends...

It's time for a new challenge over at The Artistic Stamper and this month's challenge is CHRISTMAS!!! For my piece, this was quite a challenge as when I sat down to make it, I only had one set of AS Christmas stamps and one random message to work with...eek!! But I put my thinking cap on and thought, poinsettias would make it really Christmassy. So, I combined the Artistic Stamper stamps that I had with the some die cut poinsettias that I made using Tim's Tattered Poinsettia die from Sizzix and this is what I created. As always, I hope you like it...

Autumn Leaves...

Hello everyone...

Today, is the start of a brand new challenge over at The Artistic Stamper Creative Team blog and this month's challenge is all about my favourite time of year...AUTUMN!! We can't wait to see all those autumnal creations that you make and we would love it if you would share them with us and join in our challenge. ...and here's my piece to inspire you! As always, I really hope you love what I've created!!

As you can see, I've used lots of my favourite Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alterations dies and many Tim Holtz products to create this piece and combined them with The Artistic Stamper stamps.

The Cameo Frame die cut is painted with Distress Paints and I cut an circular aperture in the centre to represent the clock face, which I stamped using one of the stamps from the Tick Tock stamp set. I added some of Tim's Idea-Ology pieces to create the centre of the clock and then moved onto my next element, the Umbrella Man.

This was die cut from chipboard covered in self adhesive metal, using the Umbrella Man die from Sizzix. I then used a Texture Fade to emboss the die cut and applied Alcohol Ink over the top.

Then came the leaves, again die cut using the Tim Holtz Tattered Leaves die and all hand coloured with a blend of Distress Inks. Next, was a quick spritz of Perfect Pearls over the top before I crumpled all the leaves to give them that authentic autumnal look.

Finally, I added a Prima embellishment, a little Corked Vial, added some Distress Glitter into it and a Chit Chat sticker.

Putting On The Ritz....

Hello everyone and a BIG welcome to my new followers!! *waves* Don't be afraid to say hello and I can't wait to get to know you!!

Today, is just a flying visit from me to share the second card in the Art Deco set that I made for the September issue of Making Cards Magazine. Don't forget you can get back issues of the magazine, HERE and find out how I made this card with full instructions and hand drawn templates!

As in the previous post, the stamps are the Twenties Stamp Plate from The Artistic Stamper and coloured with Distress Inks. Papers are by My Mind's Eye and the gorgeous roses are by Prima. As always, I really hope you love what I created...

So, that's it from me for today and now, the countdown begins for tomorrow and my date with Lord Tim!!!! *big smiles and excited hand claps* Can you tell I'm just a little bit excited? Lol....

Good morning friends and hope you had a lovely bank holiday...

Thank you to all my new followers from yesterday's post and I just wanted to say welcome to my blog and hope you'll enjoy all my future posts as you join me on my journey...

Today, I wanted to share the first of two cards that I made for Making Cards Magazine. This set was featured in the September issue of the magazine and if you want to read all about how I created the cards, then you can get back issues of the magazine HERE.

I adore everything about Art Deco including the fashion and the architecture and I hope that I've captured the feel of that wonderful era with these cards that were inspired by The Great Gatsby. The stamp set that I used is the 1920's Ladies Plate from The Artistic Stamper and the stunning papers are from My Mind's Eye. I coloured the images with Distress Marker Pens.

 The Art Deco emblem that I used at the top of the card, was hand drawn by moi and there were templates available in the magazine. To complete the card, I added some fluffy feathers which after hunting high and low, I found in John Lewis and some flowers from Prima Marketing!!

 

So, that's it from me for today and I'm going to be taking it a little easier over the next couple of days and rest a little, as I have a very important date on Thursday with a very special man!! *deep breath*...I'm going to the Tim Holtz workshop....*squeals*!!! It's going to be a huge day for me but I am looking forward to it so much and I promised myself since day one when I found out Tim and Mario were coming to the UK that I would get there even if it kills me...lol!!!

I'll be back tomorrow with my second card from this set but until then...bye for now and have a wonderful day!!

Running Like Clockwork....

Edwardian Lady...

Good morning everyone!!

Hope you are all well and had a good weekend! I'm just dropping by to let you all know that a new month, means a new challenge has started over on The Artistic Stamper Creative Team Blog and the challenge this month is called LADIES DAY!! We want to see all your stamping projects featuring lovely ladies and gorgeous girls and for more inspiration and some wonderful DT projects, just click HERE!

...and here's my project for the challenge, as always ~ I hope you like it!

I used one of the gorgeous stamps from the Gibson Girls stamp plate and decided to create an Edwardian feel to my piece and made my own easel frame. To begin with I used a piece of mountboard as my backing for the entire piece and then painted the background with Distress Paints, leaving it to dry before stamping all over in a repeat pattern, using the Lace background stamp using Versamark Ink and embossed with clear powder.

The frame is die cut from chipboard, using a Sizzix Cameo Frame Die by Tim Holtz, painted with Distress Inks and then I added some Treasure Gold over the embossed areas to make them pop. I popped the finished frame over the top of the stamped image which was hand painted using Distress Marker Pens.

The big flowers are die cut using the Tattered Florals die...what else, lol?!?! I added Distress Inks to the flowers and then popped a gorgeous Embellish Your Art piece by the very lovely Wendy Vecchi into the centre of the really huge flower.

 I added some die cut leaves, rusty wire, a little bit more Treasure Gold around the outside and a Idea-ology Word Band before adding a die cut easel stand to the back of my frame!! Sorry but I forgot to take a pic of that bit...lol!!
