Yes, another year has flown by and on Sunday, I will be another year older...*mumbles age under breath*...not letting that secret out and anyway, it's a woman's prerogative not to give away one's age!! hee hee...

Say It With Flowers

Hello...and a big, BIG thank you to everyone who left a message for me...here and on twitter about my Clarity Stamp project in Crafts Beautiful. I know that I say this often but I really do have some of the best friends and blogging buddies EVER and without each and every one of you...I really wouldn't be here now. You are all so kind and so lovely and...from the bottom of my heart ~ thank you!!!

It's been a busy few days and to be honest, there were a couple of times that I really didn't think I'd make this latest deadline but...1:00 today, I did it and I can't wait for you all to see what I've been creating because if you love Clarity...I think you'll like what I'm going to be showing you!!

In the meantime, I thought I'd share the first of a couple of cards that I made for a Craftwork Cards and were featured in Simply Cards and Papercraft Magazine, a couple of months ago...I hope you like it!!
The emphasis for this project was to showcase the fabulous new Candi and Candi Alphabet Stamps and I combined them with the gorgeous Moorish collection of papers and embellishments.

That's about it from me for today...I've got a million and one other things to do before I finally collapse on the sofa and indulge myself with a treat or two...but before I go, there is a very special lady who I wanted to say thank you too and that is Shirley! I've become friends with Shirley through twitter and on Sunday, she sent me a message to say that she'd awarded me not one...but two blog awards and I was so honoured to receive them. I will get around to passing these awards onto other worthy winners...I promise but until then, you can read all about Shirley and the other award winners...HERE!

See you all soon and thank you for dropping by to say hello!!
I'll be round to look at all your blogs, later tonight.
Bye for now....

London Calling Comes to Crafts Beautiful...

Sometimes in this business, you have to sit on crafty secrets so long...you think you might burst but today, I can finally reveal my latest adventure to everyone ~ and here it is...
As you know, I'm very privileged to be part of the Clarity Stamp Design Team and I was so honoured when Barbara asked me if I would like to create a piece of artwork, together with herself and my fellow team mate, Diane Whitehouse and then, have it featured in Crafts Beautiful magazine. Well, of course...when the call came, I didn't hesitate and my reply was a big resounding...YES and today, I got my little hands on a copy and I'm so excited...I just needed to share!!!

Okey dokey, time for me to celebrate with a cocktail or two... :)
Thank you for all the lovely comments you left on the last post...they mean the world!!
Have a lovely weekend and hope the sun shines where you are!!
See you soon...

Bon Voyage

Hi everyone!!

Well...we've definitely had a change in the weather and sorry to be typically English but...it's too darn hot!!! My regular followers know that when it comes to this weather...I just melt when it gets to these temperatures, and London is definitely very HOT today!! The best part of the day though...evening, a cool breeze and a beautiful sunset...perfect!!!

Anyway, I hope you're all having a fabulous week, and I hope you're enjoying the sunshine! Today, is a new challenge over at Sarah Hurley and this challenge is all about....
NEW BEGINNINGS

We'd love to see your creative pieces and if you need any inspiration, the DT have come up with some fabulous ideas...and here's mine, I hope you like it!!!

I chose to make a little Bon Voyage suitcase, ready for a new beginning...maybe somewhere exciting, where you start new dreams and new adventures!! The papers are all from Sarah's Britannia CD and of course, the die cuts are Tim Holtz's Vintage Valise, Branch and Leaf and Tattered Florals Alterations Sizzix Dies. I added some computer generated text and some twine.

So, that's about it from me for today...it's been a slightly hectic week of crafting, one that I wasn't expecting and one that will continue for the next few days...wish me luck because I have deadlines looming and as yet...no card projects!!! Eek.... lol!!

Thank you for all your comments on my last post...as always, I appreciate each and every one of them!!
I'll be visiting all your blogs later tonight...see you then and have a lovely evening!!
Take care....love Emma xxx

Diamonds and Pearls

First, I need to say a big hello to all my new followers...welcome aboard and it always means so much to see new faces and I can't wait to get to know you all!! Don't be afraid to say hello... :)

It's the start of a new week and I'm loaded with good intentions and there are plenty of creations to be made. Over the weekend, I managed to get all my magazine commissions done and now, the work begins on the next set of Clarity samples. I can't believe how quickly each month goes between these shows...I only seem to finish one set, when the next set arrives on my doorstep and my thought process has to kick itself into action!!!

In the meantime, I'm sure no-one has failed to notice that the Jubilee is going to be upon us very soon and today, I'm going to share this card with you all...I hope you like it!!

If you want to know more about this collection of papers and the gorgeous products that I used to make this card, then sorry for being such a tease but you're going to need to buy the current issue of Making Cards Magazine...where there are two further card projects in this series.

Right, time for me to get back to the drawing board...there is artwork that needs to be finished!!

I'll be round to visit all your blogs later tonight, when I finally sit down and relax!!!
 Bye for now!

Making Cards Vintage Special

Hi everyone!!

Hope you've all had a fabulous week and you're now looking forward to the weekend.

It's been a crazy week here at Chez Williams' and I've had so much to do, I haven't know where to begin most days but I think I have finally got most of my jobs done for this week but now...I've got to get on that rollercoaster and do it all over again!!!

Play Time

Hi everyone!!

Well, today has definitely been "one of those days"...I've been running around resembling a headless chicken with the Mission Impossible theme tune playing in my head...yup, that's how bad it's been!! LOL.

But today, I thought I'd just pop on and share a recent magazine editorial that I did for Making Cards Magazine. The theme was "Boys" and here are the set of cards that I made...I hope you like them!!
What I love about creating for all the people I work with...and for, is that I get to do so many different styles. You all know that my heart lies with Lord Tim but sometimes it's nice to get a challenge and do something different for a change and even if it isn't something that I would normally do...I think it always has that little touch of "Emma" going on somewhere!! hee hee...

Right, I am off to become a domestic goddess for the next hour or so and cook up a storm in the kitchen!

I'll be round to visit all your blogs later tonight and thank you for all the lovely comments you left on my last card...I was blown away by them all!!
See you soon and bye for now!!

Song Bird

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend, so far and it's a really quick post from me today...I've got dinner cooking and then a date in front of the TV for the rest of the evening but before, I go and live the high life...I thought I'd come and say hello and share my final card that I made for the Clarity shows...
Once again, as with all the Clarity samples, I always want the beauty of the stamps to do the talking...and I really hope you like what I've created with this card. The image was embossed with clear embossing powder to give that gorgeous glossy look and I used a Martha Stewart All Over The Page punch to create the background, that I matted onto some Bazzill cardstock. I then made a tag, stamped the wording onto it and added the ribbon.

Right, I can smell dinner wafting from the kitchen which means that I am going to bid you good evening and hope you all have a lovely night!!
I'll see you next week with some more creations and ramblings....
Bye for now!!

The Royal Guard

Yay, it's the weekend!! Another week has gone in a flash but...it's been a very productive week for me and has ended on a bit of a high note because...

I've made the cover of Making Cards Magazine with my Union Jack Simply Beautiful card projects!!!
I still get such a buzz when this happens and I see all my hard work come to fruition...it's one of the best feelings EVER!!!

So, *breathes and comes back down to earth*...it's now time to share another of my Clarity makes and this one was definitely one of my favourites from the show. I actually love anything to do with London,  the Jubilee and the Union Jack...so, this was perfect for me and I hope you like it too...

To make this card, I actually combined two of the stamp sets together...the London Icons set and the Union Jack Flag and I thought they went hand in hand and worked perfectly together. The background is created from Distress Inks and the flags are stamped in Memento Ink Pads. I coloured the Guardsmen with Promarkers. The Candi and cardstock are from Craftwork Cards.
Well, that's it from me for today...I'll be back tomorrow with the final card from my Clarity makes. Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look. I'll be round to visit all your blogs later tonight, when I sit down...or should that be collapse, on the sofa.
Bye for now!

LoveScape

I'm in the middle of doing a thousand things at once but thought I'd take a quick break and say hello to all my lovely friends and followers and share another card with you all...

Yup, as you might've guessed it's another card from the Clarity shows and it uses the beautiful LoveScapes stamps.

Once again, I used Distress Inks to build up my background scene and then added touches of Glamour Dust to highlight the silhouettes of the trees. I wanted to let the artwork speak for itself, so...I just matted and layered the finished piece onto a Craftwork Cards card blank and added some Candi accents.
Thank you for stopping by to take a look and as always, I appreciate all the kind words about my artwork, it really does make all that effort worthwhile.
Bye for now and hope you all have a lovely day, even if the rain is starting to fall again!!
