The Art of Paper Floristry...

Good morning friends...

It's a quick post from me today, as I've got a table full of papers and inks that need to be played with and projects and commissions that need to meet the deadlines! So, cue Mission Impossible theme tune and...I'd better make a start!!

But before I go anywhere, I have a post to share with you all and today, is something that I made for the wonderful Craftwork Cards. Some of you might already be familiar with this piece as I created it, along with a few others for The Art Of Paper Floristry Pick of the Day shows that were recently on Create and Craft.  But I thought for those of you who hadn't seen the shows, I'd show you the piece here, in lots of pictorial detail!! As always, I hope you love what I've created...
This actually started life as a coffee tin, but after using The Art Of Paper Floristry kit, some Distress Ink and twine, I transformed it from that boring old tin into something a little bit more special.
As you can see, I added lots of flowers which are all handmade using the die cuts in the kit and the leaves are hand cut, as I was under strict instruction not to use a die cutting machine. Lol...

Don't forget that my lovely friend and the very talented Julie Hickey is back on air at Create and Craft today at 1:00 and there's a gorgeous new bargain kit, as well as some older ones, that are not to be missed!

Time for me to fly but I really hope you love what I've created and as always, I can't wait to read all your comments!!
Thank you so much for popping by today ~ I do appreciate all your visits.

See you soon and have a fab day everyone...love Emma xxx

A Flower Cannot Blossom Without Sunshine...

Hi everyone and happy Friday!!

Firstly, I wanted to say a big hello to all my new followers...HI!! :) This week, I've had so many new faces appear on my blog and I just wanted to say thank you to you all and welcome aboard!! Hope you enjoy the ride, that is otherwise known as my life!!

Today, I'm sharing another of my Clarity DT cards and if you haven't got any sunshine where you are, I thought this might bring some into your day!! As always, I hope you like it....
I stamped a row of the different sized hollyhocks and then coloured them in with Distress Marker Pens. The background and sun are all created using Distress Inks.

I also love, love, LOVE this new card shape!! It will take me a while to come away from my square cards because I do love symmetry in my designs but I really like this shape and I think you might be seeing a lot more of it!!

To finish the card, I added some twine from Craftwork Cards and there you have it....
I'm really looking forward to hearing all your comments and thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy schedules to take a look at what I've created!!
Hope you'll pop back tomorrow because it's my turn to share my creation for The Artistic Stamper and it's a goodie!!
See you all then and hope you have a fab day and a wonderful weekend!
Bye for now...love Emma xxx

Halloween Horrors ~ Sarah Hurley Challenge

Evening all!!!

Hope you've all had a fabulous day and that you're now relaxing and enjoying the rest of your evening!!

Tomorrow, I'll be back with my final cards from the Clarity shows that were on last weekend and as always, I've saved my favourite card for last!! I'm sure if you watched any of the shows, you'll know exactly which one it is...

But the reason that there's no Clarity card is because today is the start of a brand new challenge over on Sarah Hurley's Challenge Blog and we would love you to all come and join us for "HALLOWEEN HORRORS".

This challenge is sponsored by DERWENT and the lucky winner will win a prize from Derwent themselves, a set of 24 Coloursoft Pencils (Sarah's favourite colouring pencils!) in a wooden presentation box. The DT have done a fabulous job to inspire you all with their creations and if you're still in need of something to kickstart your mojo...here's what I made ~ I hope you like it!!!
I made a table centrepiece from an old beer bottle and if you look closely, there's actually little witches flying on their broomsticks, all around the neck of the bottle. I used Sarah's papers and the adage ticket, from the Vintage Halloween Digi Kit to create the label, rosettes and tag around the bottle neck, together with lots of different Tim Holtz Alterations die cuts and a Spellbinder one, thrown in for good measure!! I finally added some paper roses on wire stems and some twine around the bottle neck to complete my 'potion bottle"!!!

Thanks for stopping by and for taking the time to look at my little creation.
See you all tomorrow!!

Butterfly Kisses

Well, it's been another eventful day in the life of Emma...oh the joys of living in London town, huh! Don't get me wrong I love this city and you probably would never be able to take this girl out of London! It's a stunningly, beautiful capital but the downside is crime and it is on the uprise... Fortunately, everything has worked out ok, the police have done their job and hopefully, that will be the end of it but it really does make you think twice about who is outside your front door!!

Anyway, back to the world of craft and yesterday, I spent the day in front of the TV with the wonderful Mr Holtz...he is such a genius and unfortunately, I will have to admit to the fact that my credit card did take a bashing! But hey...he's worth it!! lol Now, I can't wait for all those packages to arrive with my Tim Holtz goodies!

In the meantime, I did make this little creation and I hope you like it.
The stamps that I used on this card are from a set that I bought recently on QVC and are designed by the lovely Marion Emberson. I made the background to the image by using a Big & Juicy inkpad, "squidged" it onto a craft mat, spritzed it with water and then dragged the paper across to give this gorgeous watercolour effect. I then stamped the images onto the paper using an Archival Ink Pad. As finishing touches, I added some punched butterflies, die cut flourishes and a button, tied up with twine!

Right, there's work to be done and unless, the crafting fairies want to spread their glittery magic...there's only one person who can do it and that's me!!
See you soon and take care!
Love Emma
