Christmas Countdown...

Hello friends...

It's another flying visit from me today. I'm really not sure where December is going but whoever is stealing time, please don't because this month is going way too quick and eek...there's only one week to go before the all important day and here's hoping that Santa has made up his mind by now as to whether I've been good or bad!!

In the meantime and between baking mince pies and wrapping presents, I did manage to squeeze in my tag inspired by Tim Holtz's December 12 Tags of 2013. Tim's stunning tag, was one that I definitely could not miss!! A tattered poinsettia! A layering stencil!! Wendy Vecchi's Clearly For Art and Tim's frosted film!!!! Now, you can see why I couldn't miss it...

And here's my version of Tim's gorgeous tag which you can see HERE! As always, I hope you love what I've created.
Even though my tag is similar to Tim's and I've used the same products, I did use a different stamp...just because that is my favourite Christmas stamp EVER and I also added a shabby bow and a few more bits and pieces to decorate. The Tattered Poinsettia from Sizzix, is die cut from Clearly For Art and then covered in the Frosted Film but for my poinsettia, I chose to go for a softer colour tone to complete my shabby chic tag.

Thank you for stopping by today and for all the love you showed me on my last post!! I really do appreciate every single comment and word I read...they mean the world!!

I'll be back on Friday with a new post but until then....have a lovely evening everyone!
Love Emma xxx

*edit* The stamp I used comes from Tim Holtz's beautiful Deco Christmas set!

12 Tags of 2013 ~ November

Good morning friends...

Hope you're all having a fabulous week so far and you're enjoying this gorgeous sunshine that we have at the moment.

I'm sure all of you know how much fun I've had joining in with Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of 2013 and every month, I've loved all the inspiration that Tim has given and this month is no exception. I loved Tim's chalkboard technique on Creative Chemistry 102 and I've got some of that gorgeous embossing powder on my ever growing list of "must haves" but until I get some of that precious powder, I had to think of a way around it and still get the overall chalkboard effect and, I did!! A Versamark ink pad, Perfect Pearls and chalk and ta~dah...here is my entry for the November 12 Tag of 2013 and as always, there's lots of photos to see all the detail and I hope you love my tag!
I didn't have any black tags so die cut my own using Tim's Tag die from Sizzix. The "A Joyful Christmas" stamp that I used is from the Joyful Song stamp set. I created the poinsettias, using Tim's Tattered Poinsettia die from Sizzix and added some holly leaves from the Holly and Branch die. All the die cuts are coloured with Distress Inks and given a spritzing of Perfect Pearls Biscotti Mist. I added some Craftwork Cards Candi to the centres and some rusty wire coils to complete the card.

To complete the tag, I added some cream seam binding and attached some pearls using an Idea-ology pin.

So, that's it from me for today and if you haven't tried out Tim's chalkboard technique, then you must...it is fabulous and creates such a cool effect!!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I'll see you soon with another share.
Bye for  now...love Emma xxx

p.s. Don't forget that the lovely and very talented Julie Hickey is on Ideal World and Create and Craft throughout today with the fabulous Craftwork Cards Pick Of The Day...it's definitely not to be missed!!!!

'Tis Near Halloween...

"When witches go riding and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers, 'tis near Halloween"
~ anonymous

Hello friends...

Hope you've all had a great start to the week, despite the dismal, grey weather we have in the UK at the moment but if you're anything like me then grey weather means one good thing and that is...we can snuggle up inside, get out our inks, paints and glitter and join in with Tim's fantastic 12 Tags of October!!! This month, Tim decided to embrace one of my favourite times of the year, Halloween and how could I not join in?? So, here's my take on Tim's tag and as always, I hope you love it....

Don't forget that if you want to join in too, you can find all the details HERE on Tim's blog.

Thank you so much for popping by today and I'll look forward to reading any comments that you leave. Hope you all enjoy the rest of your day and I'll see you soon!

Imagine Your Dreams ~ Tim's 12 Tags of 2013 ~ September

Hello friends...

Hope you're all having a good week but where has it gone again?? I'm not even sure what happened to Tuesday and could've sworn it was only Wednesday today!! These days are absolutely flying....

After not joining in with Tim's 12 Tags of 2013 last month, I know...*slapped hands*...it's time for me to share what I've created for this month and as always, I really hope that you love it!! For all the information of this month's tag just pop on over to Tim's blog.
I decided to go with the same colours as Tim because I LOVED them but then changed a few things about the rest of the tag.
I did use the fantastic Layering Stencils, which I adore but I didn't have any of Wendy's paste...so, after searching in my cupboard, I came across some Dreamweaver paste which I had years ago and it worked perfectly!! The stamp I used was different and I added a different quote using Chit Chat stickers.
As an added extra, I matted my tag onto kraft card and then added the corrugated die cut stars, which were die cut using the Old Glory die from Sizzix.

So, that's about it from me for today...I'm not ready to do a LOT of cutting for a magazine commission!! If anyone wants to help, call me!! Lol...
Hope you all have a fab day and I'll see you very soon with another share!!
Bye for now...love Emma xxx

From Paris...With Love ~ 12 Tags of 2013

Hello friends and happy weekend!!

Hope you're all really well and surviving this heat!! I've felt that I've been living in an oven for the last week and feel well and truly roasted...lol! Today, is supposedly cooler here in London before another onslaught of high temperatures next week, so fingers crossed as excessive temperatures and working with papers and glue aren't the best combination! Why do we never get anything in between here in the UK?

Anyway, it's a flying visit from me today...lots to do and many deadlines looming that have to be met but I just wanted to pop by to share my July tag that I am entering for Tim's 12 Tags of 2013.

I loved making this one and adored the brayering technique on the background of the tag. As you can see, I went for a Parisian feel for my tag and as always, there's plenty of pics so you can see all the detail of this piece and I really hope you like it...

I added a few bits of Idea-ology to my tag and a few more Sizzix die cuts!

I took these photos outside because the sunlight really showed up the fabulous crackling that you get with Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint.

Okey dokey, that's it from me for today...hope you all have a fabulous weekend and all enjoy the sunshine whether it be sitting outside or from inside like me, hiding out in a cool spot with a fan!!
See you all very soon...bye for now!

Fly Away ~ 12 Tags of 2013

Morning everyone...

It's time to share my latest post and it's also been that time of the month when we all pop over to Tim's blog to see what wonderful tag he's created to inspire us all. Well, this month was no exception and it was stunning. So, without further ado, here is my June tag, which is added to Tim's 12 Tags of 2013.
As you can see, I used the same image as Tim but with a few variations on the theme. I changed my background because I didn't have the stamp that was used in the original tag and I added some seam binding, dyed with Distress Stains.

Once the tag was completed, I matted it onto black card and added a few bits and pieces of Idea-ology.

I also took lots of pics so you could see all the details!!!

So, that's it from me for today. I am off to find Mr Mojo and see if he can help me out of a predicament that I've got myself into!!
I'll see you all soon with another share but until then, thank you so much for stopping by and I can't wait to read all your comments.
See you all soon...bye for now,
Love Emma xxx
