The Magic Of Christmas...

Good morning friends...

Hope you're all well and looking forward to the weekend!! I really don't know how we got to Friday so quickly, it was only Monday when I last looked but what a week it's been!!! After a lovely start meeting a friend for coffee on Monday...Wednesday bought a burst pipe in the kitchen, emergency plumbers, enough water to sink a ship and a very damp floor!! We have no drinking water at the moment and our road is being resurfaced, (don't even mention the noise from that) and we can't get out for the next two days!! These things definitely come to try us but I will not be beat, Christmas is coming and I am going to be ready for it!! *deep breath, keep calm and carry on*

Anyway, back to today's post and today, I'm sharing another Christmas tag with a difference...yes, the corrugated cardboard is back!! I just love this stuff, it gives such an awesome effect. So without further ado, hope you love what I've created!!
The tag is inked with Distress Stains, swooshed onto my craft mat and then I picked up the colour and inked around the edges and used one of Tim's snowflake stamps to create my background. Of course, no tag of mine is complete without lots of Tim Holtz products and this one really has got plenty for you to feast your eyes on, including the gorgeous Reindeer Flight, Festive Foliage and the Snowflake Rosette dies from Sizzix, Distress Glitter, the beautiful Merry Christmas stamp from the Christmas Time stamp set. I think that has to be one of my favourite stamps, it's so delicate and such a beautiful font...FAB~U~LOUS and then, you can also see one of the new Idea-Ology Word Bands at the bottom!!!!
As you can see, I made an embellishment from the Snowflake Rosette and the Festive Foliage before adding a red bow to complete it.

You may also spot my little Christmas tree, more about those in a later post but I made those using Tim's Woodland Trees.

So, that's it from me for today...I'm now ready for a morning of craft, followed by some Christmas baking and cake decorating!! Well, that's the plan........

Have a fabulous Friday everyone, even if it is Friday the 13th and have a great weekend!!
See you soon...love Emma  xxx

It's The Final Countdown...

Hi everyone!!

Hope you've all had a fab day and you're getting ready to settle down for a lovely evening. Well, it's now nearly two weeks and this flu and respiratory infection has really taken a shine to me...it doesn't want to go!! Whoever gave me this flu, doesn't know what they unleashed on my schedule!! lol!

The good thing is I did manage to get lots done at the beginning of this month, before the dreaded lurgy struck and that meant that most of my DT commitments were fulfilled...plus, I actually managed to find time in the first week of November, to work on something a little special that I wanted to do for me and here it is... As always, I really hope you like it!!!

Now, you all know that I LOVE working with Kaisercraft products and I've been wanting to make one of these for a couple of years now but never have. This year though, I was determined and I made a list, went shopping at Merly Impressions for all my goodies and ta~dah...this was the result!!
I constructed the box and then painted it with Kaisercolour Paints. Once it was dry, I used papers from the Turtle Dove collection and then, added various other bits and pieces to complete the box. There are the Woodland Trees and wreath from Tim Holtz, sprayed with Distress Ink and then encrusted in Rock Candy Dry Glitter. A Curio Knob from the Idea-ology range. There are wooden flourishes from Kaisercraft and I even managed to sneak in some of my fave Snowflake Rosettes, made using the Sizzix Alterations Strip die from Lord Tim. If you look really closely, I even added, a little red nose for Rudolph...

The final piece de resistance that I added is my beautiful bejewelled peacock... I just thought it was the perfect finishing touch.

The Advent Box has now been filled with all it's little pressies...(chocolate) and is being put in pride of place for the start of the countdown to that all important day!!

So, that's if from me for today and I can't wait to hear what you think of this creation...*fingers crossed* you love it!! See you all soon and thank you so much for all your continued support and for popping by to look at what I've made...
Bye for now...love Emma xxx

Christmas Cheer

Hope you're all having a fabulous week, so far and I hope you're feeling a little better than I am...at the moment, I am coughing for England, very little voice and can hardly breathe...oh the joys of winter flu!! Good thing and looking on the bright side as usual...perhaps this means I won't get the usual Christmas present of flu this year!! lol!

Thank you for all the lovely comments that you left on my last post...as always, you made my day with everything you said! :D

Because this was such a gorgeous collection of papers...I couldn't stop at just one card and I went onto making another one and a scrapbook layout using that oh...so...divine Wishes Die Cut sheet! As always, I hope you like them...
For more details of how I made these and what I used then head on over to the Merly Impressions Blog and you can buy all your Kaisercraft products and much more direct from Merly Impressions!

Okey dokey, time for me to try and see if I can finish the project I'm working on and stick things down in straight lines, which seems to be impossible today but I will not be beat!!!

See you soon with some more shares and if I'm still functioning when I collapse on the sofa later, I'll be visiting all your blogs to say "hello"!!
Bye for now...Love Emma xxx

Peace, Love and Joy...

Hello everyone!!

Shh, don't tell anyone I'm here...I'm on strict orders to be resting because as my Twitter followers and Facebook friends already know, I'm suffering from a very bad case of the flu at the moment, but you know me...I won't be told to rest, so I've snuck on here for just a quick post and to share one of my latest (and one I've made earlier) creations. As always, I hope you like it...
I made this card using the utterly gorgeous Just Believe collection from Kaisercraft and if you head on over to the Merly Impressions blog, you can read all about what I used and how I made it!!
...and if you want to buy anything from this gorgeous collection, then it is all available from Merly Impressions.
As you can see, the only other additions that I added to this creation was the gorgeous scalloped die cut circle card, some seam binding and my favourite must have die...the Snowflake Rosette from Tim Holtz.
Okey dokey, I'm going to take myself off back to bed and hope that tomorrow will be a better day!
See you soon and bye for now!

Fly Me To The Moon...

Happy Friday to everyone I know...I hope you're all looking forward to a fabulous weekend, whatever you have planned.

I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for all your lovely comments and kind words about this week's Clarity shares...I hope you've enjoyed them and that I haven't bored you too much!! lol.

Today, is the final card that I made and I think I saved the best until last....enjoy and I hope you like it!!

As you can see, Tim Holtz's Snowflake Rosette dies for Sizzix, did fall into my basket and so far, I have had more than my money's worth out of these...I think they will be on quite a few projects from now, until Christmas!!! I just LOVE them!!!
What you can't see from these photos is that I hand painted the image using Perfect Pearls and it gave it the most wonderful shimmer to the artwork.
So, thank you for your final visit of this week and I'll look forward to reading all your comments. Before I go, I just wanted to mention that if you are a Barbara Gray fan, you might be interested in the latest issue of Crafts Beautiful, which is out now!! Barbara asked two members of her DT to work alongside her for this project and I was one of those lucky people and here's a little sneaky peek of what I made ~ my card is the one on the left!!
Happy Weekend to you all!!
See you soon and bye for now!
