Winter Wonder

Hi everyone ~ hope you all had a fabulous weekend!!

It's still chaos here at Chez Williams''s taking me some time to knock this flu and respiratory infection on it's head and I'm absolutely drained as soon as I do the slightest thing but...hey ho, there's is no rest for the wicked and I definitely have to just keep calm and carry on, at the moment!!

In the meantime, whilst I slowly try to get back into the swing of things and definitely try to step up a's the first of a two card project that was featured in last month's Making Cards Magazine. As always, I really hope you like it...
For this card, I used the Winter Frost collection and the frame is from the Distressables Pad from Craftwork Cards. I addded ribbons and embellishments from The Ribbon Reel and of course, none of my cards would be complete without a touch of Lord Tim Holtz and as you can all see on this one, I used the gorgeous Winter Wonder die from Sizzix to make my focal point, together with the Sizzix Holly Branch Alterations die.

Okey dokey, time for me to scour all the online craft stores to find some lovely new products to use on my next magazine commission. If you're like me, I always forget exactly where I saw things and then have to start all over!!
See you all tomorrow with the second card from this set...bye for now!
Love Emma xxx

  1. This view of a snowperson is so unusual, leading the viewer into the card's picture ... so this would make a great photo frame for a very special realperson - can't imagine who you'd frame, Ms Williams! Tee hee.

As you endeavour to return to normal working mode, remember not to scrunch up through the gears! A car can have a new gearbox - you can't! Take it easy, one small step at a time. Work a while; rest a while - perlease!

  2. Very pretty card Emma, love the colours, so subtle. The snowman is gorgeos and I love the frame. Really hope you feel better soon especially with a magazine commission to complete . Tracy x

  3. Oooh, that's so lovely!!

  4. Gorgeous card - fabulous use of all the diecuts. Nicola x

  5. Perfection, as always Emma. Hope you shake off your bout of flu soon. There are so many bugs and viruses about at the mo'. Best thing to do is stay inside, eat chicken soup, have a wee hot toddy and create!

    Take care,
    Liz x

  6. Emma this is so so beautiful. Love the touches of colour against the white background, and you can't beat Sir Tims dies Lol!

I feel for you not being able to shake off your illness, and I know exactly how weak it can leave you feeling (I had pneumonia 4 years ago and it laid me up in hospital for 5 weeks and only just made it home on christmas eve. I was 34 and took me completely by surprise). Lots of rest and sleep and warmth and you will be back fighting fit soon.

    Take care
    Claire x

  7. Beautiful as ever and I hope you feel better soon

Thank you for all your comments and messages, they are all appreciated and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon...
