Together at Christmas...

Good morning friends...

Firstly, I wanted to say thank you for all the lovely comments that you left me on my November tag...you really do make all the hard work so worthwhile and a big hello to my new followers...welcome aboard and I hope you'll enjoy all my future posts.

Well, I can't believe I haven't posted since Wednesday, where has this week gone? But I hope you're all enjoying your weekend. Me? I'm as busy as ever but enjoying every minute but the one thing that I must start to make time for is ~ preparing for Christmas!! I need to bake a cake, start thinking about Christmas food and most of all, get some presents!! As for cards, eek...I think I'm going to be one of those crafters that doesn't make her own again...but I have made a lot of Christmas cards for magazine projects and the various design teams I work with so...I've got a really good excuse, don't I???

In the meantime, I do have a Christmas card to share today and this is the first of two cards that I made for the November issue of Making Cards Magazine. As always, I really hope you love it!!
You can buy back issues of the magazine and read all about how I made this card ~ HERE.
But for those of you who want to get ahead, the main ingredients are:
Backing Papers ~ Papermania
Sizzix Dies ~ Reindeer Flight by Tim Holtz, Mini Leaf and Branch Die and Movers and Shapers Magnetic Die Set ~ Oval
"A Joyful Christmas" Stamp from Joyful Song Stamp Set by Tim Holtz
Tim Holtz Distress Glitters ~ Antique Linen and Vintage Photo (Lurve these!!!)
Twine, Buttons, Seam Binding, Tinsel and Holly Punch

So, I hope this card has given you some inspiration for your Christmas cards and I'd love to hear what you think.

See you tomorrow with the second card from this set and have a great Sunday!!
Bye for now...love Emma xxx

Three Wise Men...

Three days to go and three more cards to share!!! I think I'm actually going to finish my Christmas card countdown right on time...

So, today has seen me do my final craft session before Christmas and now, I've cleared all my crafty stuff away until next week and I've actually seen the dining room table for the first time in probably a year!! Lol...

Back to today's post and it's another card that I made for Making Cards Magazine and some of you might have seen this one on the cover. I was so proud to see this particular card on the cover, because as you all know I worship the man that is Tim Holtz and love everything he does!! He was the man that started me on my inky career and to have been able to use his products and then make the cover with my creation, it was just the perfect way to end my year!! ...and here is that card, as always ~ I hope you like it!!
I used Distress Inks to create my background and then what the camera hasn't picked up on these photos is that I created a gorgeous shimmery background to this, and the card in the last post, using Perfect Pearls Mists by Ranger. The images are stamped using black Archival Ink and I then added some seam binding, hand dyed using Distress Stains.

So, that's it from me for today but I'll be back tomorrow with my penultimate Tim Holtz share and I know that I say this so many times, but thank you so much for all your visits, I really...REALLY do appreciate each and every single one of them!!
See you tomorrow and bye for now!

Hark! The Herald Angels Sing...

Hello everyone!!

It's already that time of day, when the light starts fading and I know that there's not much crafting left to be done and it's time to catch up on my emails and admin before I start making dinner! I can't believe how quickly these days are going and December really does seem to have flown by!! As for Christmas, this time next week it will all be over, the food that I've lovingly prepared will hopefully, all be eaten, the wrapping ripped off the presents and we'll all be thinking about New Year!!

Saying that, there is still so much to be done and tomorrow, I'm finishing the last of my crafting until next Thursday, when it will start all over again. If I didn't finish tomorrow, I think I'll be making cards whilst eating my Christmas dinner, so...I'm being strict and saying "enough is enough...Emma, step away from the heat gun" ~ lol!!

In the meantime, I promised you some of my very favourite Christmas cards that I've made this year and I'll be sharing these with you over the next four days...

...and here's the first! This is the first of two cards that were made for a Making Cards Magazine commission and were featured in the December issue, where the second of this set made the front cover. Of course, it features Tim Holtz stamps and as always, I hope you like it!

Okey dokey, time for me to drink my tea and catch up with a mountain of emails. Thank you for stopping by to take a look at today's post ~ I really appreciate you spending the time and coming to visit and leaving all your lovely comments, at this hectic point in the year!!

Bye for now and see you tomorrow with the second card in this set...
Love Emma xxx
