House of the Rising Sun...

It's a very quick hello, goodbye from me today and I just wanted to say a very big thank you for all your visits, yesterday and all your very kind comments!

Today, I'm sharing the third card from my Clarity samples and as always, when I create any of my samples for Barbara, I always try to make sure that the artwork does the talking. I don't want to over embellish any of these samples, just concentrate on the stamps that I'm given but always create a card that carries through the feel of the subject of those stamp kits.

...and this card was no exception to that rule. The stamps were all individual stamps that I then created a scene with and I matted and layered the background to create an oriental feel to the card. The only embellishment that I added were the tiny square jewels in the corners and some embossing down the side of the image. As always, I hope you like this card.

I can't wait to read all your comments and thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to look, at this particularly busy period!
See you tomorrow with some more shares...bye for now!
Love Emma xxx

  1. I spent an exquisitely pleasant afternoon today watching the Clarity shows I'd recorded from the weekend, while I was cutting out the next batch of cards to be made here.

This stamp/card has fond memories for me - the image has, I mean. There's a Chinese restaurant in Swindon that was built in genuine style with building products from China. It sits by a lake and was the venue for a very special occasion of ours just over 7 years ago.

The shows from the weekend seemed to feature some of the best samples ever. I suspect Barbara's team has now reached graduation status - plus any new DT members are already the when chosen.

Well done Emma; well done all of you.

  6. Oh dear, Emma, my bank, manager really does not like you, because your beautiful work makes me realise that I really need the stamps you have just used. We have been without proper internet access for a couple of days so I have just looked at your gorgeous cards from the last three days. I am not sure whether my favourites are the Wallflower set or the La Dame set, but they are both stunning. My husband did not lie the wallflowers at all until he saw your card and then changed his mind completely. Hope you are feeling a bit better and that nasty flu is really on the run. xx Maggie
