Entwined Hummingbirds

Well, after all the talk from the weathermen, I think they definitely deserve a pat on the back for their predictions because they got it absolutely spot on and this was what I woke up to yesterday morning. As soon as I woke, I pulled on my wellies, wrapped up warm and rushed outside to take lots of pics and here's just a couple from my garden.
...and of course, whilst it was cold outside...it was absolutely perfect weather to stay warm inside, make a cup of coffee and watch Barbara Gray on TV, demonstrating the latest selection of Clarity stamps ~ some new, some old but all of them fab!!! As you know, I was busy last week, making some of the samples for yesterday's shows and I also, made some for Barb's shows in Germany, which are happening later this week. Today, is the first of those cards that I made featuring the Entwined Hummingbirds ~ I hope you like it!!
I decided to create the look of a Japanese scroll for this card and used a Martha Stewart All Over The Page Punch to make that gorgeous filigree background which I adhered over some paper that I made myself with the help of a bit of scrunching of the paper and a touch of Distress Ink over the top.
I stamped and embossed the image and then made a scroll.
The final touch was some Craftwork Cards Candi and that's about it for this one...

So, it's time for me to get my brain into action and start thinking about my next big project.
Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my creation...I'll be around to visit you all, later tonight!!

Bye for now, stay warm and see you soon!
Love Emma xxx

  3. A winter wonderland, very pretty snow (if such a thing exists!!) Fabby card, every time I see your clarity makes I am tempted into a purchase - but I think I might be too heavy handed for a brayer!

  10. The weathermen certainly got it spot on didn't they. We had a good covering too although DD was so upset that she wasn't well enough to go out and play in it, she's been waiting for snow since November.
I love this Hummingbird stamp, it has to be one of my favs and I love it with your fretwork and scroll, a lovely Oriental feel.
Your cards were gorgeous on C&C as always.
