So Red The Rose

Hi everyone and a big hello to my new followers!! Hope you'll come and say hi and looking forward to getting to know you and I also have to say a big, BIG thank you to everyone who commented here on my blog and over on The Artistic Stamper Creative Team Blog...I have read all your lovely comments and I know I do say this all the time but it's true...they mean the world to me!!

I can't believe how cold it's been, last night I was freezing in bed and this morning, there was frost!!! I hope this doesn't mean that were going to have another icy winter...don't get me wrong, I LOVE the snow but only if I don't have to leave the house. If you all you little snowflakes do decide to visit again this winter...please come for Christmas!! That would be wonderful.... lol

So, back to the here and now and today is a new challenge and a fab prize to be won, over on Sarah Hurley's Challenge Blog and challenge 52 is all about MISTING. Here's what I've made for the challenge...hope you like it!
If you head on over to the blog, you can see all the wonderful inky creations from the rest of the DT, using the misting technique and if you feel inspired, you can win a prize
I used elements and papers from Sarah's Wonderland CD, which I layered onto the corrugated cardboard tag, die cut using the Tim Holtz Alterations die from Sizzix. I stamped the Alice quote from an Alice In Wonderland stamp set that I already own and the clock is from a Tim Holtz set, which I stamped and then added Glossy Accents to. Then came the handmade paper flower and the misting...this gorgeous rich red colour was achieved using Sarah's Ink Sprays in Poppy Red and Pumpkin. I adhered this to the rest of my tag, added some seam binding from The Ribbon Girl and finally, added a decorative pin through the message.

Hope you all have a lovely evening and once the dinner and washing up is all done, I'll be around to comment on all your creations!
See you soon!
Love Emma
