Hello everyone...hope you all had a good weekend and whatever you did, the sun shone brightly for you!
As some of you know, I went to The Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show at Ally Pally on Saturday and I don't want to make any of you, who couldn't attend jealous but...it was fabulous!! I managed to catch up and chat with Barbara Gray, and also Julie and Sue from Craftwork Cards. Both of these stands were incredibly busy, as always and you couldn't get near Barbara or Julie, who were both demonstrating new products and old favourites. I also met the lovely Jennie from The Artistic Stamper...if you have a chance, please check out the lovely range of Mabel Lucie Attwell stamps that Jennie sells. They are lovely.
So, after all the excitement of Saturday, yesterday was a quiet day...just me, myself and some alcohol inks and this is what I made...I really hope you like it!
I actually saw these flowers on Pinterest and thought they were just so beautiful. If you want to have a go at making these flowers, click here for an online tutorial, with step by step instructions. And believe me, they are just so easy to make, once you get started...there will be no stopping you.The background of the project, is Mirri card which I covered with Tim Holtz's Alcohol Inks and then ran through The Big Shot using an embossing folder and matted onto black Core-dinations cardstock! I also inked up some acetate and then die cut the butterflies using Tim's new alterations dies. Finally, I added a stamped message and the metal trinket, as finishing touches.
Before I go, once again I was totally overwhelmed by all your wonderful comments on my last post ~ thank you to my friends who have been visiting for a while and also to the new faces that have left their thoughts! Blogland is such a fabulous place to be...and with some of the nicest people I know!!
Well, I'd better get back to the drawing board...I have plenty to keep me busy, including my stash from Ally Pally below!
See you on Wednesday and have a wonderful week!
Love Emma

ReplyDeleteBeautiful Emma - such vibrant colours, and I love the flowers sooo much!
ReplyDeleteI bought the Tatty Button stamp with the umbrella from SECC, so cute! My Gran used to have a MLA bathroom poem, and I have cross-stitched the same design! It always brings back very happy memories of visits to Gran & Grandpa's house ;)).
Much love,

I've just realised I came over to look at this post earlier in the week and was so interested in those flowers I sped off down the link without even leaving you a comment, Emma. How rude am I!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the alcohol ink on the embossing, it's so vibrant and that flower as you say is gorgeous. I struggled with it to start with but with a bit of help from my dear other half i soon got it sorted.
Thanks so much for joining us at The Stampman this time too.
Hugs Lisax
What a fabulous card Emma, I love the vibrant colours of the alcohol inks, the flowers and butterflies. It fits perfectly with our embossing challenge at The Stamp Man, thanks for taking part and sharing it with us.
