Firstly, I must apologize that I didn't get around to sharing this post yesterday but I was actually banging my head on a table and having a creative breakdown...yup, it was one of those days. hehe!!! But today, my crafting mojo returned and normal service was resumed.
So, here is the final two cards from my Clarity samples and in my opinion I saved the best for last...as soon as I saw these images, I fell in love with them and they are just such a joy to work with. And when this first card was shown on TV, I couldn't believe the reaction especially from the fabulous Nigel May who was presenting the show. His comment made my day and I couldn't quite believe what I was hearing but thanks Nigel!
Also, what I wanted to achieve with this set of stamps was to make two completely different cards, both using the stamps, distress inks and backing papers. The first is a snow covered scene on a cold winter's day, simple in colour to give a cool icy feel to the card. But the second, is a warmer card, coloured with Promarkers and using the inks to create the background scene on which the partridge is standing. The final touch is the addition of one of my handmade paper flowers...
Anyway, the sofa, a glass of wine and The X Factor are calling me, so....I'm now going to bid you all goodnight and hope that you enjoy what's left of your weekend!!
See you all next week!
Sweet dreams...
Love Emma
