Collect Beautiful Moments ~ 12 Tags of 2015 ~ May

Hey everyone!

Can anyone tell me where this month went? It's just flown hasn't it?!?!

Well, even though the month has disappeared in a blink of an eye, I've managed to work on my version of Tim Holtz's May tag in his 12 Tags of 2015! When I first saw this tag, I just fell totally and utterly in love with it ~ it was beautiful and it showcased so many different techniques! I just had to join in with this one ~ it would have been rude not to!!

So without further ado, here is my tag for May and as always I hope you love it!

I added some wire behind the beautiful photo booth image and a few more of the Tiny Tattered Florals to my tag and because I wanted to do a slight twist on the original version, I added a Frameworks die cut as a base.

Treasure Life... 12 Tags of 2015

Hey everyone!

Thank you for all your lovely visits to my blog and a big thank you for all the comments you've left me on yesterday's post ~ I've really enjoyed reading them all!

Today, I'm just popping by to share my April version of Tim Holtz's 12 Tags for 2015 which you can see HERE! I know I'm a little late joining the party but better late than never and I've just about made it by the skin of my teeth ~ I'm not sure where April has gone but it's sure flown by!

As always, I hope you love my interpretation of Tim's wonderful tag...

As you've probably notice by now, I have chosen different stamps to the ones that Tim used. I do have the Flower Garden stamps but I'd only just used that gorgeous set in a forthcoming magazine commission (watch out for the July issue of Making Cards Magazine) and I thought it would be nice to use something a little different...so, with this in mind I chose to use the butterflies from the Watercolor set.

On of my favourite things to do is relax with some of my favourite music, watercoloring with Distress Marker pens and this was the perfect tag for my to indulge in!

I've used all the techniques that Tim used on his tag but I added a little crackled bottle in place of the star and popped a piece of twisted wire and a Chit Chat sticker into the cork...

As a finishing touch, I mounted the entire tag on a piece of ripped and torn corrugated card!

Use Your Wings ~ Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015

Hi everyone!

I'm just popping by to share my version of Tim Holtz's wonderful March tag in his 12 Tags of 2015 series! This month, we saw Tim show us how to create textured backgrounds using Texture Paste and embossing powder and if you haven't tried it yet ~ then you must as it creates a wonderful effect and such a gorgeous opulence to the tag. For all the techniques involved in this tag, just pop over to Tim's post, HERE!

For my version of the tag, I changed a few things ~ including the colours of the background, I went with my favourite blues and greens and included the gorgeous Cracked Pistachio.

I also added a couple of different embellishments and when it came to creating the texture paste background, I didn't want a shiny, molten gold and instead used a textural embossing powder to give me a more vintage, rustic appearance.

Wish Upon A Star ~(Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015)

Hey everyone!

Hope you've had a great week, so far! It's just a flying visit from me for today but I just wanted to pop by to share my interpretation of Tim Holtz's fabulous tag for February ~ you can see Tim's tag HERE! Because I've only just made this month's tag by the skin of my teeth and because I'd missed Valentine's Day completely, I thought I would make my tag all about "wishing on a star" and replaced some of the "love" elements with things relating to my star theme!

As you can see, I followed Tim's process to create the background but instead of using Ephemera, I used old scraps of paper from the Wallflower Paper Stash ~ it was too good to waste and a technique such as this, is the perfect opportunity to use them up.

I also added a scruffy bow to my tag and a pen nib to complete the embellishing!

Twenty Fifteen ~ 12 Tags of 2015

Hey everyone...

Thank you so much for all the visits over the last week and for all the lovely comments you leave me, I always enjoy reading each and every one of them!

Today, I'm just dropping by to share my first tag in Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of 2015!! You can check out Tim's wonderful tag and tutorial, HERE and this is my version!

As usual, I've made a few little variations on Tim's tag and excluding the rusty old nail and the small wooden stars, all products are by Tim Holtz.
