Three Wise Men...

Three days to go and three more cards to share!!! I think I'm actually going to finish my Christmas card countdown right on time...

So, today has seen me do my final craft session before Christmas and now, I've cleared all my crafty stuff away until next week and I've actually seen the dining room table for the first time in probably a year!! Lol...

Back to today's post and it's another card that I made for Making Cards Magazine and some of you might have seen this one on the cover. I was so proud to see this particular card on the cover, because as you all know I worship the man that is Tim Holtz and love everything he does!! He was the man that started me on my inky career and to have been able to use his products and then make the cover with my creation, it was just the perfect way to end my year!! ...and here is that card, as always ~ I hope you like it!!
I used Distress Inks to create my background and then what the camera hasn't picked up on these photos is that I created a gorgeous shimmery background to this, and the card in the last post, using Perfect Pearls Mists by Ranger. The images are stamped using black Archival Ink and I then added some seam binding, hand dyed using Distress Stains.

So, that's it from me for today but I'll be back tomorrow with my penultimate Tim Holtz share and I know that I say this so many times, but thank you so much for all your visits, I really...REALLY do appreciate each and every single one of them!!
See you tomorrow and bye for now!

  3. When I was but a babe in arms, Santa arrived in town on a camel. For we lived in foreign lands where I was born, lands that today are no longer exotic, more violent, less passive, too passionate. So I am not proud of my birthplace but I am, happily, a UK citizen as my Dad was in the forces.

Whenever this image of the magi on camels is used, I relate in a more emotional way than perhaps I might. These camels brought potential terror in their wake as Herod used the magi to his own ends. My camel brought my first Christmas presents. (A teddy bear, actually, still have him.)

I am not hijacking That's Life - I thought I'd share how vivid memories become through imagery. Somehow silhouettes on gentle backgrounds do it best. And Emma always does it better.
