The Stockings Were Hung By The Chimney...

Evening everyone...hope you've all had a wonderful day!!

It's such a beautiful evening, here in London but unfortunately, here at Chez Williams' all the doors and windows have been tightly shut as there is a swarm of flying ants and they are everywhere...I've don't think I've ever seen one this bad before, it's dreadful. The grass is just glistening with ants...

Anyway, as long as they don't set up residency inside the house...I don't mind. I've been there, done that and never want to go down that road again. Ants as house guests, aren't the greatest ~ hee hee!!

In the meantime, here's card #2, (and yes, I can't believe we're making Christmas cards already either) in the Clarity shares and I hope you like it!!
On this card, I stamped the individual images to create one long, continuous poem and then coloured it with Distress Marker Pens. I then matted and layered it onto a background, punched with the Martha Stewart All Over The Page Punches.

Time for me to head to the kitchen and decide what to cook for tonight's dinner...thank you so much for all your kind words and lovely comments, you always know how to put a very big smile on my face and I do read and appreciate every word at this slightly difficult time!!

Bye for now and see you tomorrow!!
Love Emma xxx

  1. Well, what can I say that I haven't said before ... aha, I spot the intricate use of a MS punch! This gives the piece a timeless elegance that perfectly coordinates with the fairytale image. Well done that girl!

  3. Lovely cards, Emma, as usual. My husband usually watches Barbara with me, and he has taken to trying to pick your cards before a name is mentioned and he is usually right - they are so classy and elegant. By the way, hope you got away with not having ants in the house. Our kids used to swim competitively and had to go training early in the morning. I came downstairs at 6am one day to find a six inch wide column of ants marching across the dining room floor. The only thing I could think of to do was to vacuum them up and then stuff the hoover outside until I had time to deal with the problem properly. I used to get a can of Dethlac and go right round the outside of the house each year to create a barrier. I even treated the wheels and legs of the caravan after a friend found his sugar container heaving with ants one year. xx
