Two Becomes One

Ooo, that was a surprise when I came here to post today, Blogger has changed it's interface!! It's all very...white!! lol I'm sure I'll get used to it but it feels very strange to be writing a post on this new layout, I've spent so much time on the old style of Blogger...to be here, on the new one, is like losing my best friend!!

Anyway, this week is time to share just some of the Clarity samples that I made this month, the rest of the hoard that I've been making, can be seen on the Pick of the Week on Create and Craft, which starts on September 16th.

My first share of the cards that I can show you, is from Barbara's, In The Classroom shows which were live on Saturday. I do believe for those who missed it or who want to watch it again, there is a video on the Create and Craft website.

And here it is...two of my cards using the fabulous Broken Tree stamp and all the little leaves that come with it ~ I hope you like it!

Even though the backgrounds of each of these cards, are made in exactly the same way, by building up Distress Inks to give me the shades and tones that I need, I chose to do two very different cards to show the versatility of this stamp. The first one shows how to use both of the trees for an autumnal scene and the second one, which is actually very similar to the demonstration that Barbara chose to do on Saturday...shows a sunset with just one, solitary tree, blowing in the wind with all it's leaves fluttering to the ground.

Right, it's time for me to head back to the craft room and finish up my work for tonight and then, as a huge Torchwood fan, I think I might indulge in a spot of John Barrowman on QVC.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and I will see you tomorrow with another share from Clarity.

I'll also pop round to visit all of your blogs, asap...it's always so exciting to see everyone's new creations!
Have a wonderful evening!
Love and hugs, Emma

  4. Hiya, the first one has the perfect mix of colours for an autumn look and the second conveys a warm breeze in the desert, very Arabian nights! Love them both,

  5. Like Vicky I sampled the new blogger interface then changed it back - as you said much too white.
Love your samples - managed to watch Saturday's show (should have been doing the ironing) and then recorded Sunday's show as there was a craft fair locally which I couldn't not go to.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of your samples.

  7. Hi Emma
What a great programme the classroom one with Barbara was on Saturday. I enjoyed every minute and DD has spent hours making the little tree and hills scenes. I must blog them as they're great.
Your cards, as always, are stunning. I especially love the blowing leaves.

It's lovely to be back with you in Blogland.
