It seems ages since I was here last...where does the time go? Hope you're all having a great weekend and that the sun is shining. Of course, today is the first Sunday of the month and that means that Barbara has been on Create and Craft showing all the new (and old) Clarity Stamps that she has to offer. I'm sure some of you have watched but for those that didn't, as always...I'll be showing all my samples that I made for the shows, here on my blog throughout the week.
And this is the first of my samples, featuring the "Peace On Earth" set of stamps, which I believe are still available to buy.
I didn't actually see this card amongst the samples today, which was a shame because I worked so hard on it, cutting out all those little pieces and colouring each section bit by bit. But that's the nice thing about being able to share these samples with you...you get to see what others didn't! lol
The actual image itself was coloured using Promarkers and I built up each section to make a decoupaged star, adding Glossy Accents to give a raised, glazed look to the final image. I added some of those beautiful flourishes, that I keep talking about and just love, love, love...from Spellbinders (can you tell how much I love them? lol) and some stars, that I die cut using one of the dies from the Spellbinders Snowflake set. All this work was added to a piece of card that I embossed using a Tim Holtz embossing folder and as the final touch, I stamped the Peace On Earth message, using a Versamark ink pad and embossed with gold embossing powder. I hope you like it....
Well, I'm off to see what I can find in the freezer for tonight's dinner. I think it will be a good, old fashioned Sunday roast.
I'll be back tomorrow with the second of my shares from the shows and can't wait for you all to see them!
See you soon and thank you to everyone who left a comment on my last post...I've passed all your well wishes onto my Dad, who now thinks he's famous in the craft world ~ hehe...and he thanks you all!!
Love Emma

ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant example of one of the best stamps on the show..I only wish it made it to air! :( but no matter..it's here now and it's glorious! :D of course the 3D effect on the star steals the show! but the textured paper is also a fabulous touch!

WOW Emma this is stunning, how on earth it was missed out on the show is beyond belief - it showcases the stamps perfectly. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your creations during the week.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Sunday roast - thats my next job - managed to get all my ironing done this morning whilst watching Barbara :)
This is a great stamp, but teamed with that embossing folder looks absolutely stunning! Recorded the show so will watch it when the sun goes down.

Oh Emma, this is totally breathtaking! Just love the dimension on the star and the combination of that embossing - amazing! Jo x
ReplyDeleteOh Emma, what a shame your card wasn't shown. I was shouting at the TV every time I recognised your distinctive style to Dawn "come on, say that one's by Emma!!!" The tension was palpable, I can tell you, lol!
ReplyDeleteNever mind, as you say, thank goodness we get to see everything in all it's glory here on your blog :).
Hope you're keeping OK chick,
Much love, Helen xx
what a gorgeous card, such a shame it didn't make it on air but glad you put it up here as it deserves to be seen!!

I only caught a few minutes of this weeks shows, Emma so it's lovely to be able to see your cards properly. I'm a bit late catching up this week so you'll be fed up of me by the time I get up to date.
ReplyDeleteI love how you've used this lovely stamp with all the spellbinders and doesn't it look great with the TH embossing folder, I would never've dreamed of using them together.
What a shame it didn't get aired after all the work you put into it.
BTW, I did see the tennis and was so disappointed Nadal didn't win, he's been my favourite for years now, what a gent he is.
Hugs Lisax
Stunning creation Emma. The star is just beautiful. xx
