Here Come's The Rain...

So, the weekend is finally upon us and I hope everyone has a relaxing and peaceful time. And to all you Mum's out there...Happy Mother's Day for Sunday!!!

As for me, the mind is still buzzing with creativity...my Tim Holtz Resist Kraft Pad has arrived ~ yay, together with some goodies from Graphic 45 and Kaisercraft. There are so many fabulous companies out there producing crafty items, it's hard to choose a favourite. But together with My Mind's Eye, these are definitely some of the very best in my opinion, at the moment.

As for today, the card I'm sharing is a little bit different to some of the cards, I've been making over the last few weeks but who could resist this little umbrella girl from the S.W.A.L.K. collection by Crafters Companion. She's adorable and is perfect for someone, who like me....has a little bit of a thing for umbrellas!! lol
After stamping onto watercolour paper, using a Stazon ink pad, I handpainted the outline image with Kuretake's, Art and Graphic Twin Pens. I then just tore the painted image from the sheet of paper, which leaves that fabulous edge, making it look like a little work of art. I used My Mind's Eye papers, on the card blank and as finishing touches, I stamped the Tim Holtz sentiment and a flourish. I made two rosettes from the same backing papers, using Tim's new rosette die, popped on little buttons and finally, added by bow. I am absolutely in love with this vintage ribbon, at the moment and I think you'll be seeing a lot of it on my cards!!

Well, that's it from me for this week. Don't forget that Barbara Gray and ClarityStamp is live on Create and Craft on Sunday at 10 a.m. ~ 12 p.m. and then again, in the afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
As for me, yep...you guessed it, I can't wait to show you all the samples I made for the show, throughout next week and I really hope you'll come and have a look.
See you on Monday!!
Love to all...
Emma

  1. now even though rain tends to ruin most activities outdoors, it does bring out the umbrellas! and we need the April showers for the May flowers to bloom! ;)

I love the stamp...it's so cute and her eyes are adorable! along with those pigtails and Wellies! :D I like the way you tore the papers instead of using sharp angles..kind of gives the effect of water and puddles! buttons - ribbons - flowers - and the green colour...it all works so well!

Brilliantly done! and can't wait for Sunday! :D
