Happy Monday everyone and thank you to everyone who commented on my last post. You're comments are always read and I appreciate every single word!
Hope you all had fabulous weekends? Me? Well, still suffering with the after effects of the flu but I did have some excitement yesterday morning... The first of the cards I made as part of the Design Team of Clarity Stamp were finally unveiled and shown on Create and Craft, yesterday. I'm still very shy about sharing my work but the reaction was honestly more than I could ever have dreamed of...I was literally in seventh heaven. From loved ones, friends and the huge twitter brigade that I have come to know and love...all your support and messages meant the absolute world to me! I was very, very humbled and can't thank you all enough. And of course, there is one person who I need to thank more than anyone...and that is the wonderful Barbara Gray. Her work has always inspired me and I am over the moon to be part of her DT.
So, enough about me...let's show you some cards. Over the next few days, I really want to show you all the samples that I made using the stamps. But today, I've chosen to start with this one...which I actually, didn't finish until after the deadline for the show but if I had finished it, it would most definitely, have been there!!
The background of the main image was all done by my own fair hand with the help of some of Tim's Distress Inks and some Cosmic Shimmer powders. Once I'd built up the colour and I was happy with it, I then flicked water over it to give the mottled effect. I then stamped the image using a Versamark ink pad and embossed it with a pearl embossing powder. Finally, I added my handmade paper roses, some ribbon and a greetings message from Craftwork Cards. And voilĂ ...hope you like it!

Hope you all have a fabulous week!
Stay warm and cozy!

what a beautiful fall coloured birthday card..so stylish! I love the flowers and how well their made..the attention to detail really sets them apart...but the image steals the show! it really looks like a water colour painting more than one created with inks and powders...it's STUNNING! I'd like a print of it! :D

ReplyDeleteA beautiful card - shame it wasn't finished in time to be included in the show yesterday. I watched (and recorded it) and congratulate you on such stunning cards. Look forward to seeing more of your work each month
ReplyDeleteThis is truly stunning Emma - the moonlit scene is very beautiful and so are those flowers! You must be overjoyed to be on Barbara's Team she is such a talented lady and I love watching her on TV. She never ceases to amaze does she?
