Catch of the Day...

Another day and more rain...at this rate, our little island will sink with the amount of water that keeps falling!! I will admit, I actually don't mind the rain but it would be nice to be able to finally wear something other than boots and coats in the middle of July!!

Anyway, despite the awful weather I did have something to celebrate over the weekend and that was...I'm a cover girl again!!! Third time in a row, two cards featured on the cover (Deserving Designs and By The Sea) and three separate card projects inside...yippee!!! As you might be able to guess...I'm a little excited!! lol.
If you do manage to check out the latest copy of Making Cards, then you will see my Designs With A Difference projects, featuring a gorgeous collection of papers from My Mind's Eye and the adorable Warren, all available from Craftwork Cards and here's a little taster of a third card from that series...I hope you like it!!

This project was all about card closures and as you can see, the front of the card tucks in behind the picture to create a closure. The image is coloured in with Promarkers and I added some seam binding and Bakers Twine to complete the card.

Thank you so much for taking the time to have a look at my little creation and I can't wait to read all your comments!!

I'll be doing the rounds of the blogs later tonight when I sit down to watch Revenge (my new must~watch TV show...if you haven't seen it, you're missing a goodie) and a cuppa!!!
Bye for now and see you soon.

Notes On Paper

Hi everyone!!

Hope you are all ok...sorry for my absence in blogland over the last few days...as you all know life at Chez Williams' is never dull and this week has been...manic!!! Wall to wall crafting, it's been non stop and in between it all...a life has to go on too!! Anyway, the "to do" list has had another major job ticked off it today...now, I just need to work through the rest of the it!! Eek...

Anyway, today there is a new challenge over at Sarah Hurley Challenge Blog and the theme is:
DIMENSION AND TEXTURE
...and here's my challenge piece!!
For all the details of this challenge and more inspiration from the DT, click HERE!

I used papers from Sarah's fab new Retro CD to make my tag notebook. I covered a die cut chipboard tag with some of the gorgeous woodgrain papers and then added a notes section, where you can tear off each page once you've used it. I then stacked a couple of rosettes made from more of Sarah's papers, added a wooded embellishment and pins. Finally I tied ribbon and twine through the top to hang the finished tag.

Before I go...if you like these gorgeous papers and would be interested in being a member of this fab and talented design team...then click HERE because there is a Design Team Call happening right now!!! The call closes at midnight on the 25th June, so if you think you fit the description...why not give it a go!!!

I'm off on my blog rounds now to catch up with all your lovely creations...
See you soon with some more of those Clarity shares that I teased you with at the beginning of the week!

Santa Claus Is Coming...

Hi everyone. Hope you're all having a wonderful week.

I'm just dropping by to let you all know that there's a new challenge starting today over at the Sarah Hurley Challenge Blog and the theme for this fortnight is:
BUTTONS

All we want you to do is use buttons somewhere on your creations and we can't wait to see what you create and if you should need any inspiration, then here's my card that I've made. You can also see all the fab projects over on the blog that the rest of the DT have come up with.
To make this card, I used papers and elements from Sarah's fab Tinseltown CD and made a handmade rose with the papers, added some Baker's Twine around the postcards and popped on a few buttons, some punched holly leaves and finally stamped a message onto the postcards.

So, that's it from me for today and I really hope if you have time to join in, you will ~ it would be lovely to see some familiar faces!

Bye for now!
Love Emma
