Hello friends...
It looks as if it will be another beautiful and very hot day here in London. The sun is shining and the heat is already building in the craft room, so today I will have to remember that I need to turn the fan off when using glitter!! Yes, it did happen, glitter was blown everywhere and I had a lot of sparkly tools on my desk but I've learnt by my mistakes and yesterday, was a fan free zone whilst handling the glitter and thankfully, no sparkly accidents!!
In the meantime, I thought I would pop by and share a card with a difference that I made for the July issue of Making Cards Magazine and I was lucky enough and over the moon, to have this project featured on the cover! As always, I hope you love what I've created, as much as I loved making it...
If you would like to find out how I made it, then you can read it in the magazine and can buy back issues HERE.
I'm sure that the stamps that I used don't need any introduction, they are the wonderful Nautical Blueprint stamps from Tim Holtz and I chose to use the Seahorse as the focal point of the project.I then created my stand for the tag. A template is available in the magazine but at some point I will try and fit in a tutorial of how to make this, so watch this space.
I used various elements on the stand, including real shells, cheesecloth and twine. These are added to die cut fronds.
As the finishing touch, I used one of the Tim Holtz Hashtag stamps and stamped Life Is Good on a handcut banner and placed this on the front of the base.
So, that's it from me for today and thank you so much for stopping by and visiting ~ I really do appreciate them all and so looking forward to reading your comments!
I'll see you soon but until then, have a wonderful day and stay cool!!
Bye for now...love Emma xx
