London Calling

Happy May Bank Holiday!!!!

Hope you're all enjoying the weather and having a wonderful day, whatever you have planned! Me? Well, I've been forced into a lazy day, as I woke up this morning unable to move my arm or shoulder! Don't ask me why...but it really hurts! Oh dear, I think I'm cracking up and being stubborn and someone who hates taking medication...I'm being a martyr to the pain and suffering in silence! lol

Anyway, enough about me and my aches and pains because it's time to show my Clarity samples and I really can't wait to hear what you think about them. :) As always with Barbara's shows, they are fast and furious but I was lucky that most of my cards that I made were shown before the stamps sold out. As for the three cards that didn't get an airing...I'll be showing them here during the week.

I've already seen some lovely comments from those of you who did see my cards on yesterday's live shows and I am so glad you like them and also, that you have some fun picking out mine...your comments really do make my day!

So, here's the first of the shares and what could be more appropriate for this Royal Wedding weekend than this lovely LONDON stamp set... And being a Londoner, I loved working with these and hope I did them justice!

I stamped and embossed London onto white card, then handpainted the Union Jack in the centre of the "O". Using the small stamp set, I stamped some of the iconic images onto die cut circles and attached these to the card and rosettes. The background of the card is a tube map that I ran off from London Underground.

For the second card, I actually chose to make the London Underground symbol out of paper and use the small stamps from the set across the banner. I also chose to colour the images in a more sketchy style so that it made it look like an artists drawing.

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look at my lil creations and I'll be back tomorrow with some more of my samples and in the words of the great Tim Holtz...enjoy the journey!!!

See you tomorrow and love to you all....

  5. YAY!! another set of lovely Clarity Cards! and I think, one of the best yet! Can't wait to see them posted this week! :D

and I think my favourites of this latest batch are these brilliant London cards..of course I'm hugely bias about all things London but these are lovely enough on their own!
I love the use of the tube map as backing paper in the first card and how you used the stamps was brilliant..the second card may be simpler but I think that adds to it's brilliance..the London Transport symbol is so iconic that it works so well on it's own as the focus! LOVE IT!

Amazing work...looking forward to seeing the rest of them! :D

  6. Love the way you used Barbara's stamps and interpreted them in your own style. They were lovely. I think Barbara will need to double the stock for next month so she can get to demo before we buy them all. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your offerings.

  7. What can I say?! Your imagination and attention to detail are second to none Emma! I recorded both shows but haven't had a chance to watch them yet. I'm looking forward to settling down to them (hopefully not in the middle of the night when I'm ill like last time!) I'm going to Happy Stampers in Port Sunlight on the 14th May and Barbara is always there. Can't wait to fight the crowds so I can see her demos!! I do hope your shoulder eases soon xxx
