QVC Customer Event

Over the last two days, as some of you know...I've been demonstrating at the QVC Event in a sizzling hot Central London and first of all, I'd just like to thank John at Crafthouse Press for having the faith in me and trusting me to represent the products at this event. I was very proud to be working with this wonderful company who were launching their new Pyramid and Decoupage collection in the Gorjuss Girls range! (...and to the lady who asked if they had modelled the Gorjuss Girl on me...I'm very flattered but all the credit for illustrations has to go to the wonderful Suzanne Woolcott).

The samples are finally ready with a little help from a girl's best friend!

The card that I made for the Crafthouse Press "Make and Take"

Photos from the event, including one of a very hot and bedraggled me, who is loving every minute!

This was my very first time demonstrating and yes, there were a few nerves to start with...I was working with people, including the great Dawn Bibby, that three years ago inspired me to become involved in papercrafting but once those nerves were banished, I had such an amazing couple of days! There were some great demonstrations and make or takes happening around the room and I got to have a sneaky peek at some beautiful products that will be coming soon and I must say, please look out for the stunning products from Inspire Me Papers. Their products and display absolutely blew me away...it was BEAUTIFUL and Debbie and her team, were some of the nicest people I met!! I'd also like to say a huge thank you to Amy Shaw for making me feel so welcome.

And last and definitely not least, thank you to the people who make this all happen...the customers of QVC. I met some wonderful ladies...and a few gents, who did join in and I have to say seemed to be enjoying their card making experience with us! There was a lot of laughter and smiles throughout the two days but I wanted to give a special mention to a lovely girl who I met on the Thursday, and I wish I had taken her name, but she came along with her Mum and had never crafted before but she really did herself proud and was so pleased with her beautiful finished card, that she asked if we could have our photo taken together. As she was leaving she said to me, that our make and take was the most fun she'd had all day long and that, really did make my day and I can't thank her, enough. She was just one of many who made similar comments and they were all very much appreciated and meant an awful lot to me.

So, now that it's all over, it feels rather strange and I'm slowly coming back down from my crafting high but the one question remains...would I do it all again? Hell yeah...I had a blast!!

And if you want to read and see more about the two day event, head over to the lovely and very talented Paula Pascual's blog, here... She's even taken a little photo of some of my samples!
