Love Is All Around...

Sometimes with papercrafting and card making, it's nice to think outside the box. Usually, you go to the shops, you buy a card and I'm sure it'll be lovely but it will also probably be square or maybe rectangular and mass produced...but the great thing about being able to make your own cards is that you don't have to be like everyone else...you can make something to your specifications and make it exactly how you want ~ it's unique. Shape, size, different folds and techniques...all go to create something wonderful for that special person that you're giving the card to.
So, for this card, I used some round scalloped edge card stock, scored and folded it in half and covered it in these fabulous backing papers from K and Company. Once that is done, you can now start to make that special card. This adorable image comes from Lili of the Valley and I stamped it onto a scalloped die cut circle, with a Memento Ink Pad and then coloured it in using Promarker pens.

My tip, if you are using Promarkers...Memento Ink Pads are the very best to use with them. DO NOT use Stazon, ever...as this is a solvent based ink pad and will cause the lines to bleed when you use it alongside, Promarkers.

I matted and layered the image, together with some more of the papers and then adhered this to the main card, using a strong adhesive tape. As final touches, I added, some Stickles glitter glue to highlight her dress, bouquet of flowers and head dress, then I attached a Tim Holtz ~ Adage Ticket, together with some beautiful organza ribbon and added some Card Candy in the corners.

And there you have it...a special card for a special day...
