Take It Easy...

After the busy day I had on Saturday, I treated myself to a lazy Sunday...culminating in my guilty pleasure of relaxing on the sofa, with a glass of wine and Desperate Housewives ~ but isn't that what Sundays are all about?

But by the look of things I wasn't the only one who was taking it easy ~ this super-cute stamp is from Lili of the Valley, a fantastic UK company, who do the most adorable images for papercraft and rubber stamping. If you haven't heard of them or visited their website, you must check them out as soon as possible ~ they are so worth it!

But back to my card and how I used the image...

I stamped the image onto a piece of cream card, that I'd die cut using the large scalloped circle die from Spellbinders Nestabilities and then aged around the edge using distress inks. I coloured in the image using Promarkers and added glitter accents on the grass, with Stickles glitter glue. I punched out some butterfly images from the cream card stock, inked the edges and used 3D foam to adhere and elevate them slightly.

Once that is done, I set it aside for the glitter to dry. The backing papers are from DCWV and I used a Martha Stewart border punch along the edge to give a fancy border and then adhered these to the cream card blank. I added the main focal image and stuck this with some more 3D foam. Finally, I added a paper flower, button and a small greeting plaque, which I die cut using the smallest of the Spellbinders Nestabilities label four dies and then hand stamped with the "Take it easy..." message.
