Thriller Night...

Hey everyone!

I'm just popping by today to share a little something that I've made for Halloween! As many of you know, I love this time of year and I love decorating the house ready for a night of tricks and treats and when I saw the wonderful Undertaker stamp set from Tim Holtz, I just knew instantly what I wanted to do with it and here it is ~ I've stamped onto candles to create some spooky centrepieces as part of my home decor!
To create these candles, all you do is stamp onto tissue paper using Archival Ink and then tear the tissue paper around the stamped image,  leaving a jagged edge. I find this works better when the tissue melts into the candle and doesn't leave such a harsh line. Lay your stamped tissue over your candle and then, I used a piece of wax paper, wrapped it around the candle and held it tight as I used my heat gun to melt the tissue into the wax candle. Be careful not to melt the candle but you can usually see the image start to change and darken through the wax paper which means it's ready!
I made a few to dot around the house and I love how cool it looks placed on this candlestick, as well as being nestled amongst my autumnal halloween foliage.!!

...and for night time, I've added a few battery operated lights for some added twinkle!
Thanks for stopping by today and I really hope you love this piece of home decor as much as I do ~ I was really pleased with the way it turned out! I think I might start making some for Christmas now!!
See you soon...love Emma xx
