Rock~A~Bye Baby...

Hope you've all had a wonderful bank holiday and as I was told by someone earlier today, do you realise the next bank holiday in the UK is going to...Christmas!?!?! Once September arrives and the shops start to have their Christmas goodies in, I think we all know it will be here sooner than later.

Anyway, enough talk about Christmas and back to now...thank you for all the comments that you left on my last post. I am going to put all your names into a hat and randomly draw one lucky winner which will be announced over on The Artistic Stamper Creative Team blog on the 7th September ~ so, remember to keep checking back to see if you are that winner. Also, there's still time to leave a comment HERE or HERE...good luck!

In the meantime, I thought I'd share some cards that I made for a recent issue of Making Cards Magazine. Those of you who follow my work and blog closely will remember this one from the cover, but I thought it would be nice to share it with those who didn't see the mag and to show the card in detail. I hope you like it because I was particularly proud of this set (more to come during the week) and as a huge fan of Graphic 45, I hope I did their products justice!!
I just thought the rosettes complimented these papers so well and of course, these were created using the Tim Holtz Alterations Rosette Strip dies from Sizzix.

Right, time for me to fly...after a day of sitting in front of a computer, writing six A4 pages of instructions for a forthcoming magazine feature, I think I am going to collapse with a glass of wine and some mindless TV!!

I'll be visiting you all, asap and seeing what you've been creating and thank you so much for taking the time to come and visit me...it really does mean to so much and as I'm going through a little bit of a rough patch at the moment...you always seem to know how to make me smile ~ come rain or shine!!!

See you soon with the second of the card projects from this "Bunting with a Difference" series!!
Bye for now...love Emma xxx

  1. It is so useful when a card designer (as good as you) shows me how to use a certain type of paper product. I will expand my assertion - scrapbook papers that include vintage prints often frighten me away. How do you use that poster? thinks Little Me. How silly to panic - look at That's Life and there we have the answer.

Seriously, a very pretty project that belies the amount of work that went into it, Emma.

  4. I love this one, Emma - a lovely image beautifully interpreted by you. The rosettes do just make the card. Do I see a little bit of brayering around the edges? xx

  6. Hi Emma, really sorry to hear things are not so good at the moment, sending a big hug down the wire.

Your card is gorgeous, but then, as I think I have said many times before, they all are!

I have been doing some instruction write ups too today - it's the bit I really don't enjoy but it's got to be done.

Thanks for letting me know about the little birds. We have quite a lot of garden centres here so will keep a look out. But thanks for your kind offer and I will keep it in mind.

    Speak soon, take care,
    Liz x
