Fashion Statement

Good morning everyone!

Hope you're all looking forward to the weekend and have something nice planned. Me? I'm hoping to pop along to The Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show at Ally Pally just for a flying visit, then it's my Dad's big 70...shh, don't tell him I told you!! So, I plan on spoiling him rotten and celebrating his day in style!!

Today is the start of a new challenge over on the Sarah Hurley Challenge Blog and it's all about...
CIRCLES
and here's my interpretation of the challenge, a scissor storage holder...I hope you like it!!
If you click HERE, you will be able to get all the details of the challenge and see what the rest of the wonderful creations that the team have made!! We hope you will join us with this challenge and look forward to seeing what you make!!
To make this, I used papers from Sarah's Easter Digi Kit, painted an old ribbon spool, wrapped twine around it and then decorated it with buttons, handmade flowers and seam binding.

So, it's that time of the day when I'd better think about what I need to do, organise myself and then, go and make another cup of strong coffee to get me through it!! lol.

See you tomorrow and hope you all have happy weekends!!

  4. Fab creation Emma and such a clever use of circles. I'm always losing my scissors! Weird that I'm working on a project with spools today... Enjoy your weekend and esp your Dad's birthday. Don't think I'll make it to Ally Pally this time, hope we can meet up again soon though.

  6. Another great project, Emma and so inventive. Have a great time at Ally Pally, and don't spend too much. I, fo one, need to get up to date with all the cards I need for the next two months, so that I can have time to "play" with my brayer and colours. Next weekend is my yearly reunion with three of my friends from school. With the proposed hike in the postage, I aim to complete all their birthday and anniversary cards for the year and deliver them to be opened on the relevant days. Anyway, Emma, have a great weekend, and I hope your Dad enjoys his day. xx Maggie
