At last, it looks as if Summer has finally arrived and with it, I have the worst bout of flu that I have suffered for a long time! I have no voice, can't control the sneezing and a throat that feels as if I've swallowed razor blades!! Oh well, never mind...it could be worse, I could have 16 projects to finish before Wednesday morning! *thinks* Arghhhhhhhh...I do! LOL and as they say, C'EST LA VIE!!!
Anyway, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and looking forward to a hot, sunny week ahead!
I've got a huge amount of cards to show you all but thought I would start with this one, which I made for the Kuretake shows on Create & Craft, last Friday. I hope you like it...
I just love working with Kuretake products because, if you know what I mean...they aren't just pens. You really can do so much with them ~ they are THAT versatile and the pigment of these pens is just so rich. They are fabulous, fabulous products to work with! And would you believe that the main part of the image on this card, was made up entirely of my doodles of flowers using the Calligraphy pens and blending two pen colours together? Isn't it a great effect? I then used the Tim Holtz butterfly, to stamp over the flower background, distressed the edges, added some gorgeous backing papers from K & Company, one of Tim's famous quotes, a die cut rosette and last but never least, a flourish.
Don't forget to check out the Kuretake website and their newly launched blog, for lots of inspiration and techniques for how to use all their pens.
Hope you all have a fabulous evening!!
See you soon and thanks for stopping!
Love Emma

ReplyDeleteHi Emma - just having a catch up after a few days away. Gorgeous work as usual - love what you've done with those pens to create that beautiful backing paper. Hope you're feeling better very soon - being poorly and having a huge to do list do not go well together - please make sure your health comes first. Take care.

Great card Emma and very creative background with those pens. Lovely piece. Sorry you are not feeling well, nothing worse especially when you have deadlines to meet. Cross fingers you feel better soon. Tracy x
ReplyDeleteAnother stunning card Emma; I love how creative you are with the pens. I'm so sorry to hear you're not well (I think you're working far too hard!) and hope you feel better soon. xxxx
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you're poorly, Emma. Not funny when the weather is so hot. I hope you start to feel better really soon.
ReplyDeleteSorry to have been absent lately. My blogging time is severly curtailed during the Summer holidays but I will try to catch up when I can.
I've had a lovely browse through all your cards since my last visit and as always love them all. Your Christmas ones especially caught my eye. I love the 3d bauble. I did something similar with Xmas trees a few years ago.
All your craftwork cards have been gorgeous and this last one is really unusual. I love the way you've used the TH stamps with the pens.
Take care of yourself and stay cool. It's been hot, humid and heavy here today with little sunshine. We could do with a breeze!! Never happy I know.
Hugs Lisax
Oh dear Emma, hope you feel better soon. But, thank goodness you can still share your gorgeous makes with us!
