Up, Up and Away

Happy Wednesday, lovely friends! How's everyone's week going, so far?

Yesterday, I spent the whole day making my set of samples, for Kuretake's show on Create & Craft on Friday. Hope you like what I've made...I've used some fabulous stamps from my crafty stash which show off the pens perfectly! If you've never used their pens...this will be your chance to buy some, as they are absolutely gorgeous!

But back to today's share from the Clarity shows. Both of these cards are made using Adirondack inks to build up the backgrounds to create a scene. But the first one, is actually one of Barbara's clever corner set of stamps but I decided to do something slightly different with it and made the corners into a kite and used the "leafy flourish" as the tail.

And this is the second card, made up from the Oast House set of stamps. Once again the background of fields, was made up by blending Adirondack inks and I then, used the top of the tree stamps to create the little bushes that surround the fields.

Right, after my marathon craft session yesterday and after my visit to the Post Office to post the samples...I am going to have an easy day! Well, I say easy...that's after I write the editorial for the magazine set of cards and then think about my next project!! Oh the life of a crafter...I think my hobby's turning into a full time job!! hehe

Thank you for all your lovely comments on yesterday's post and sorry, I haven't managed to share on WOYWW today...I just didn't have time but I'll be back next week ~ promise!
See you tomorrow with the next set of cards...

  1. Two fabulous cards Emma, can't say I remember seeing them on the show on Sunday but I just love what you've done with the corner stamp - so inventive.
Will look forward to seeing Friday's show, although it will probably be a repeat or I'll have to organise myself to record it - not all of us are so talented to be able to turn our hobbies into a job.
Take care - sun is shining here so hopefully it is where you are too and you will be able to enjoy a restful day

  3. OMG just when you think it can't get any better..... it does! I would have never 'seen' a kite with the first stamp set - this just goes to show what an inspirational designer you are! I absolutely adore the scene you've created with the Oast House too. Two fabulous cards!

  4. Love both those cards, Emma, but the kite one is a touch of (Clarity) genius. That is what makes a creation. I look forward to see the show on Friday - might have to record it as we have visitors that day.

  5. I'm not surprised you haven't had time Emma. I don't know how you do all you do. It's wonderful that you are in such demand.
I love both your cards. The kite is inspired. I was only saying at the weekend that if I received Barbara's stamps blind, although I love them I wouldn't know where to start with them. It's incredible what you come up with, you must have inspiration oozing out.
