Yesterday, The Royal British Legion launched the 2010 poppy appeal and I thought this card would be perfect to share with you all today...using a stunning poppy stamp from a recent Kanban TSV set, on QVC.
I handstamped the main image of the poppies and then embossed it using a black ultra fine embossing powder, so that I didn't lose any detail on such an intricate stamp. I then handpainted the image using Perfect Pearls, mixed with a little water to give the most decadent, shimmery, lustrous paint. Because I wanted to focus on the poppies and keep this as an act of remembrance, I kept this card very simple, but elegant...using just a few matts of paper and a beautiful black organza ribbon, tied into a bow. If you do see a seller, please buy a poppy to support this worthy cause and on 14th November, for just two minutes, remember our heroes and those who have fallen.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and whatever you have planned, enjoy!
I'm now going to carve some pumpkins, make cupcakes and decorate the house, ready for Halloween!
Thanks for stopping by...
Love Emma
