A Day at Alexandra Palace

So, yesterday was The Big Stamp and Scrapbooking show at Alexandra Palace and it was heaving!! There were so many more people there than six months ago but I had a fabulous time and of course, spent lots of money but how can you possibly not when surrounded by all that craft!!

My first stop of the day was at Craftwork Cards, where I gave into temptation and bought some of the new items from their new Ooh La La and Ice Cream Parlour collections. If you haven't seen either of these ranges yet, you must check them out, NOW!! They are stunning. And in amongst all the mayhem that surrounded their stand, I did manage to catch up with Julie and Sue, for a chat and they are two of the loveliest and nicest people you could wish to meet. Here's just a couple of photos of Craftwork Cards and the queue of people wanting to buy.

After that I headed to Clarity Stamps where I met up with the wonderful Barbara Gray. I absolutely adore Barbara and she had actually seen the card I made from my last post and it made my day to hear her comments about my work and blog. Hopefully, we are going to stay in touch and I've already got lots of new stamps that I put into my basket and will be playing with over the next few weeks.

I also managed to catch up with a few friends who I've met through the world of crafting, Kim Sutton from B-Craft-E and Sarah Hurley, who was there demonstrating her range of crafting products. Both of them are such fabulous people and Kim and I, discussed our passion for Butler and Wilson and a glass of wine!!

I finally arrived home early evening, after a few wrong turns on the North Circular and here are the goodies that I came home with, including lots of Tim Holtz things and some wonderful stamps, all of which I can't wait to play with.

Hope you're all enjoy the rest of your weekend and looking forward to the coming week.

Queen For The Day!

"It would be nice, if something made sense for a change" ~ Alice, Alice In Wonderland

The weekend is upon us already and maybe this weekend, I'll get time to indulge in some winter clothes shopping and be able to find some time for a long walk in the park. I love it, when the leaves start to fall and you can hear them crunch underfoot...perfect!!

So back to today's share, and it's another card using the stamps from that fabulous Alice In Wonderland set from TJ Designs. I told you I loved them and when I get something that I love, it's always a pleasure to use and work with.
So, this card is really all about the folds. As you can see, it's not your average card and to make these folds, I used a template from B-Craft-E and a piece of A4 white card. Yes, it's as easy as that!! If you've never seen Kim Sutton's fabulous range of templates...go straight to the website, now! There's is a wonderful selection of easy to use templates, which just take your crafting to another level. The image of Alice was stamped onto some white digital cardstock from Craftwork Cards, which I die cut using a Spellbinders Nestie die. I used Promarker pens to colour the image in and Distress Inks around the edges for that aged look. The papers I used here are from K and Company and as final touches, I added ribbon, adhesive pearls and stamped some flourishes.
I wish you all a wonderful, relaxing weekend and enjoy whatever you are doing!!
