Hello everyone!
Hope you've all survived the atrocious weather that we had last night. The rain poured through our solid wood front door. Not sure where it was all coming from as we couldn't find any cracks, etc., that it could leak through but all night we were putting down towels to mop up the pools of water that kept gathering. Other than that, we're all safe, just have to give the battered wreath, that was in pride of place on the door, a little makeover!!
Some of you might have seen that Kuretake are holding an advent countdown over on their blog and every day, there has been a fab tutorial from one of the DT and today, it's my turn. Here's what I made, using lots of Kuretake products, together with some Basically Bare items. If you click HERE, then you can see full details of how I made it and what I used!!
I hope you enjoyed this little creation...I thought it was a little bit of fun and if you haven't got a chimney, then Santa needs some way of delivering those presents!! lol.
Before I go, in my last post, I mentioned that I had the BEST recipe for Cranberry Sauce and there were some requests for the recipe...so, especially for you ~ here it is!! If you do make it, I'd love to know what you think of it...you will have to drop me a line to let me know!! :)
Spiced Cranberry Sauce with Port and Orange
350g fresh cranberries
225g sugar
150ml orange juice
finely grated rind of 1 orange
75ml water
45ml port
1 cinnamon stick
Serves 6-8
Place all the ingredients in a pan over moderate heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves, then bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove the cinnamon stick and serve.
Can be served hot or made in advance and served chilled.

ReplyDeleteOh what a gorgeous tag - love it. Also love your photography and staging too....
Sorry to read about the flooding through your door last night it was a horrible night that wind and rain really did come down!
Might just have to try your cranberry sauce as I'm partial to a bit of port...
Take care

ReplyDeleteHasn't the weather been awful - hope you have dried out and everything is OK.
Your cranberry sauce sounds delish, we are off out to my sis in law for Christmas dinner but I'll keep a note for next year.

Santa's key - great idea Emma. My DS had a fireplace in his bedroom when he was younger - and still believed! We had to promised him that we wouldn't let Santa come down it!
