Live For Football!

Hope everyone's having a great weekend and looking forward to a week full of smiles, laughter and inspiration...

Today, it's just a quick share using the fabulous Weenicons kits from The Crafthouse Press! They've been released to coincide with the 2010 World Cup and comprise of all the great footballers of the modern era. From the past masters of Pele and Maradona...all the way through to Zindane and a certain, Mr Beckham.
And, because of the concept of the 3D images in this particular pack...as soon as I saw it, I knew that it had to be a rocking card. So, the overall effect is, as the card rocks it looks like Beckham dribbling the ball and going for goal! And of course, scoring to give England the lead....

So, how did I make it and what did I use? It's really quite a simple card to make...the main thing is, it's all about balance. Try to put all your elements into the centre of the card, so that it maintains the rocking motion.

The circular card base is cut from heavyweight, white card, scored and folded in half and then I matted backing papers onto them. I cut 3 further circles from co-ordinating cardstock and papers, matted and layered these onto the base and then finally, adhered my image of Beckham onto these. I hand coloured chipboard letters to spell out the word, "Goal" with Promarkers and stuck these to the base card, together with some card candy and there it is...a simple card that I think, any football or David Beckham fan would be over the moon to receive!
