Happy New Year?

Hmmm, 2011...what can I say about it so far?

Well, this morning my Dad has spent three hours waiting in the emergency department at our local NHS clinic and has just returned home with what they think is the onset of pneumonia. He's not been well at all over Christmas but with all the flu that's been going around, we just thought it was a bad case of "man flu". It was only last night when things took a turn for the worse, my Mum and I decided he needed treatment. Luckily, it's been caught in time and he's now on antibiotics and hopefully, on his way to recovery.

Other than that, New Year's Day bought me the present of two burst pipes and water covering the bathroom floor, with no plumber in sight. And then, last but by no means least, I now feel the start of a sore throat! *sigh* Happy New Year huh?

So, what have I been up to? Well, all these escapades meant that I've not felt very creative over the last week but it's a new year, so...I've filled my diary with new adventures.
I've been serenaded by the wonderful Mr Michael Buble...
I've been reading a magazine or two...
...and I've always got time to visit my local cafe, relax with a hot frothy mocha, complete with whipped cream, whilst doing a spot of people watching...
And finally, I've fallen madly in love with one of my Christmas presents...Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb's gorgeous!!!
So...a big hello to my new followers, including the lovely Hazel, who I've got to know and love from twitter!

I hope the start of your new year has been just a little less eventful than mine and I want to wish you all a very happy 2011!! Here's to a crafty new year full of inspiration and many fantastic new products to tempt and tease us!!
See you tomorrow...
Love Emma

  3. Happy New Year Emma - Hope your Dad is feeling much better very soon and the sore throat doesn't get any worse! I started the new year with all good intentions and feeling very creative but have come down with the dreaded Vertigo so have to limit my time at the computer and there isn't much crafting getting done! It'll pass soon I hope!
