Heroes...

Happy Saturday friends...

Hope you've all had a great week and looking forward to the weekend!! I wasn't actually going to post this weekend but suddenly thought of two cards that I made for the October issue of Making Cards Magazine to commemorate Remembrance day and I thought it would be nice to show you them, today and tomorrow!! So, without further ado...here is the first of those cards and I really hope you love it!
To make this card, I used the stunning Delicate Blossoms stamp from Hero Arts and instead of the traditional red poppy, I went for orange, which I thought worked so well with the autumnal feel of the card. The leaves are all hand coloured with Distress Stains and inks and die cut using Tim Holtz's Tattered Leaves die from Sizzix. The beautiful stamped sentiment is from the Tim Holtz stamp set, Classics 5. To complete the card, I dyed some seam binding with Distress Stains to match my colour scheme.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you'll pop back tomorrow to see my second card in this set.

Have a great weekend everyone...love Emma xxx

Don't Let Anyone Dull Your Sparkle...

Hello everyone and happy Friday...

It's two posts in one day for me...I know, how did that happen!! If you scroll down to my earlier post, you can see my latest sneaky peek for The Artistic Stamper but I also found time to throw in this tag which combined Day 3's techniques from Tim's Creative Chemistry 102!! If you aren't doing these online classes, then why not? You are missing out on so much inky fun!!

As always, I really hope you love what I've created...
This tag uses the brayered background, which I forgot to photograph before I added the bits and pieces, doh...together with the Distress Glitter technique and the cracked glass. I've also used Tim's Layering Stencils on my background.

Tattered Leaves die cut from Grungeboard and covered with Distress Glitter. I even mixed the glitters to give a two tone effect!!
Cracked glass vial covered in alcohol ink
Can you believe the sparkle on those Distress Glitters...they are amazing and if you're like me, you'll even end up with a sparkly face when you've finished...lol!

Well, that's it from me for today...I have a huge magazine commission to finish and lots of poinsettias to cut out by hand. Thank you for stopping by today and as always, I love reading your comments and really appreciate them all!
See you soon...love Emma xxx

It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year...

Good morning everyone!

Hope you've had a fabulous week and you're all ready for the weekend!
I'm just popping by to let you know that there is a brand new challenge starting over on the Sarah Hurley Challenge Blog and guess who's picked the theme!?!?! Yep...it's my choice for this month and I chose AUTUMN!!
We want to see all your creations that feature my favourite time of year and we can't wait to see what you make!!

If you need a little inspiration then pop on over to the blog to see what the DT have come up with and here's my card, that I made for the challenge!! As always, I hope you like it...
It was really hard to photograph the little acetate window that I die cut in the centre of the card but I think I managed to capture it in the end. I printed the "Autumn"wording onto the acetate and then used it as the centre piece to my die cut flower which I created using the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Die and the leaves from his Tattered Leaves die and coloured with a combination of Distress Inks and Dyan Reaveley's Dylusions Sprays!

Papers and Autumn wording are from Sarah's brand new and quite lovely Farmer's Market kit...available here!

Before I leave, I just want to tell you about Sarah's One Day Deal!!
You can click HERE for all the details but it's not to be missed if you love these gorgeous products!!

Time for me to fly...there's a mountain of craft building up again on my desk and it all needs to be done, dusted and finito by the end of the weekend!!
See you all soon with another of the cards I made for Imagination Crafts....thank you so much for all the lovely comments on my last creation for them!! You all made me a very happy Emma!!
Bye for now and I'll be visiting as soon as I get the ink of my fingers later tonight!! lol!!
Love Emma xx
