Explore Creativity...

Hello friends...

Hope you are all well and having a great week so far! Can you believe that we're in February already? Where did January go? It's just flown by in a blink of an eye!

Anyway, as we head into the new month, I'm sharing the first of the samples (there's lots more to come over the coming days) that I created for Tim Holtz for the recent 2017 Creativation show. You can read all about the show over on Tim's blog, HERE and I would just like to say a big shout out to all the hard work that Team Tim put into this show! They really are the very best and every single detail showed the love and dedication that went into the booths and all the wonderful products!

So, here we go with my first project, a card that I created for Sizzix using one of my favourite dies from the recent release ~ Industrial!
As you can see, I created a really grungy look for this card and added lots of cogs and gears that were die cut from chipboard covered with metal foil tape and then coloured with a combination of alcohol inks and Distress Crayons.
This die is so cool and I can see it featuring a lot in my future projects, I just love how you've got all the elements, even the nuts and bolts, which allowed me to build up this layered mechanism on a background that I created using Tim's Eroded Metal technique, together with layers of Tim's stamps and designer tapes.
I thought the image of the little boy from the PhotoBooth set worked so well with the theme of this card and I layered the adorable photo over corrugated card made to look a touch rusty with the help of Rust Alcohol Ink.
As the finishing touch, I needed added a simple word ~ Explore. The letters are the positive pieces that I die cut from gold metallic kraft card using the Traveler Word Set.
...and that completes the first of my samples and I really hope you love this one!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and see you soon with more samples from the show!
Love Emma xx
