Hello friends!
Hope you are all good and had a great week! Thank you so much for all your visits and comments that you left on my previous posts, I really do appreciate each and everyone of you!
Today, I'm sharing part 2 of the samples that I created for the Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations Booth at Creativation! These samples were so much fun to make and I was in my element using the dies...
For the first sample I used the Metropolis Cityscape die together with the Traveler Words and the Art Deco Alpha Die.
Now as soon as I saw this die, the first thing that sprung to mind was the 1927 film...Metropolis, so I wanted to create a futuristic look for both of these cards and what could be more perfect than to team the dies with some of the Metallic Kraft Cardstock and recreate a futuristic Art Deco style!
Finally, I added a plaque that I created using the Traveler Word set and attached this below my Metropolis scene.
For project number 2, I was inspired by the New York skyline at dusk! You know the time of day, when the lights in all the buildings start to twinkle against a background of a dusky blue sky.
For this card, I used the Cityscape Skyline and once again, I created the background using Distress Paints and Crayons but this time added some texture using the Dot Fade Layering Stencil and dry brushing a small amount of metallic gold paint over the raised surface.I addd that gold Dimensional Star above my Cityscape Skyline, together with clouds cut from the Snowglobe die.
To complete this card, I used the Discover wording from the Traveler Set and attached the plaque beneath the skyline!
So, I hope you've loved today's projects and all I can say is...you will NEED these dies, they are so much fun to work with and create such wonderful effects! I've already got future plans for them to show you how they can be used in completely different ways to these samples here!
Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon...love Emma xx

Both cards are fabulous! I see what you mean about the font on that die. The word Metro on the first card looks so elegant.
