Colour Pops

Hello everyone...and happy Friday!

Hope you've all had a fabulous week and you're surviving the heatwave! Today, I wanted to share something that I was asked to create for Craftwork Cards the other week, to showcase their new Colour Pops range of Candi that were launched at CHA this week. You can read more about the latest varieties and all the yummy colours, here!!

As always, there's lots of pics to show all the detail and I really hope you like it!

I decided to make a wallhanging for the first piece and I think this would be perfect for a wedding gift and those colours of Candi are just delicious!!

As you can see I've used the Candi to make centres of my flowers and to add decoration around the cluster of blooms.

From The Heart...

Another flying visit from me...to show you the final part of my Wedding Collection that I made for Craftwork Cards and CHA!! I had such fun working with all these products...they are just so gorgeous and as always, the quality of CWC, is second to none and it just keeps getting better and better!!

So, here is the last of my creations to complete the ensemble and I hope you like what I've created!

Flowers In Bloom...

Anyone else finding that this week is flying again? I can't believe that it's Wednesday already...I'm sure someone is speeding time up...there is just not enough hours in the day for me to get everything done!! When I was a little girl, school days seemed an eternity...why can't craft days be like this?

Thank you to everyone who left such a lovely comment on my post yesterday and as promised, here is part two of my wedding collection that I made for Craftwork Cards and CHA 2012! I'm really looking forward to hearing what you think about them...

This is a little place setting that I made, which once again has one of the gorgeous blooms that I built up from a few of the die cut flowers in the pad to create a 3D flower. I used the Candi Stamps to stamp the name of the person onto the Candi. Of course, if the name was longer the design would have to change slightly...lol!

I also made a small favour box from scratch, to accompany the collection. I thought this could be used for confetti, a slice of wedding cake...the possibilities are endless! The box itself is so easy to make, it's just a matter of getting the measurements and scorelines absolutely spot on...once that's done, easy peasy...just decorate it however you choose but I think these blooms just lend themselves to creating something really special and that would be treasured for a long, long time to come!

L.O.V.E.

Good morning!!

Hope you are all well. Firstly an apology for being a little more quiet here in blogland lately but I have got a really good excuse....I have been run off my feet, I literally haven't had time to think and been crafting away for England. At the weekend, I spent two 14 hour days on the production line, making cards and meeting deadlines...it's a good job I love what I do!! lol...

In the meantime, you might remember that a while back I was creating something a little special for Craftwork Cards and CHA! Some of you might have already seen the photos over on the Craftwork Cards blog and I also was so excited to see photos on Flickr and Pinterest that someone had very kindly taken of this collection...I felt quite humbled and proud!! But, today I can start to reveal exactly what I made, with lots of close up pics to show all the details, and here is the first of those creations, a wedding gift box...I hope you like it!

The brief I was given was a vintage wedding, using the gorgeous flowers, Candi stamps and of course, Candi. I made the box from scratch, and just covered it in these fabulous blooms, that I built up for dimension. I added Candi clusters to some of the centres and gems to others.

You can just see the ribbon that goes around the box on this photo. I actually stamped directly onto the ribbon and then attached it to the box, adding a piece of Candi to each of the "O's" in LOVE!

Finally, I attached my message in the centre, die cut using Spellbinders dies and added Liquid Pearls around the edge.

So, this is just the beginning of my wedding collection and I hope you will keep checking back to see how this little set grows and grows and...grows!!!

Spring Fling

Isn't British weather just the strangest thing ever?? Two weeks ago we were digging ourselves out of our houses and absolutely freezing cold. Today, Spring has sprung, the sun is shining, we've got drought warnings and our overcoats have been thrown off!! I suppose, it won't be long before the downpours start and we'll have floods. It's very strange indeed.

It's definitely been one of those days, today...I've been suffering from a migraine for most of it but it's calmed down enough for me to pop by to say hello and share my final makes for CHA and Craftwork Cards. I hope you like them...

I made the shadow box from card and used the Candi to highlight the sides of the cards and the flower centres.

On this frame card, I used the Candi to accent the window and papers from the Confetti range. The dress form is from Basically Bare, which can be bought direct from the Kuretake Online Shop. The flower is handmade from some more of the Confetti papers.

Tonight, I'm going to take it easy, have a cup of tea and treat myself to a few more choccies from my Hotel Chocolat stash.

Flutter By...

Good morning!!

It's an early morning post for me because I'm planning on giving myself my first day off in nearly two months and sitting down in front of the TV for most of the day to watch US Craft Day on QVC!! I'm like a kid in a shop window at the moment and I'm sure you can hear the ooh's and ahh's coming from Chez Williams, lol. I've already spent a small fortune and my bank manager must be quaking in his boots but who can resist all those gorgeous goodies and I'm hoping to spot the odd card or two that I've made for some of the shows. I had so much fun with the gorgeous papers and kits, and I will show all the cards I made in the coming weeks. 

So, before I get back to my place on the sofa, I thought you might like to see another of my CHA, Craftwork Cards makes and I hope you like it.

I made the little box by hand using some gorgeous cardstock from Craftwork Cards and combined it with Shabby Vintage papers, butterflies and of course, the stars of the show...Candi and a die cut message.

I attached the butterflies onto little pieces of acetate to give them the effect of flying and the handmade roses are dipped into UTEE for an enameled effect.

I added the Candi all the way around the sides and finished off with a die cut message.

Time Stands Still

Well, hello weekend!!!!

Hope you all had a lovely week and you're now looking forward to an even better weekend. Anyone got any exciting plans? Of course, a lot of people will be off to Stitches and I am very envious of all those going, especially knowing that Lord Timmie will be there. But to ease the pain, I can't wait for Tuesday to arrive because I have booked myself a place in front of the TV, QVC will be my date and I will not be moved...the Lord will have my undivided attention!!! lol.

In the meantime, a few weeks ago I was busy making cards for Craftwork Cards to take to CHA and I thought you might like to see what I made using their fabulous products, combined with a few Alterations dies...I hope you like them!!

This card uses Shabby Vintage papers, together with Retro Flowers and some of the new Candi. I then combined all these elements with some of my handmade flowers using Tim's Tattered Florals die and the gorgeous Weathered Clock die cut.

All the centres of the flowers are made entirely from the Candi and I was over the moon with how they looked.

Bright and Beautiful

It's been another busy week but it's been fun and what I love about all the creations that I'm making at the moment, is the diversity of the challenges that are set before me...one day, I'll be in my element getting inky with all of Lord Timmie's gorgeous products, the next I'll be working with fabulous stamps from wonderful companies and then, I get to play with gorgeous, quality papers and products from my favourite companies, Kaisercraft and of course, Craftwork Cards. It's a hard life but someone has to do it... lol!!!

As you all know, I've been playing with lots of Craftwork Cards products lately, as I was lucky enough to be asked to make samples for the recent shows on QVC, be a part of their recent TSV and last but not least make some samples for CHA, which I will show you all next week. But today, I'm sharing some more of the cards from the QVC shows, using the Sweet Meadow kit and I thought these were the perfect pretty "springlike" cards to cheer up the dull days that we're having at the moment.
